The retailer order list was leaked and it looks like the price for the Secundus box is US$170. I am for sure going to buy the Secundus box, but I'm waffling on whether or not to buy the Van Saar gang boxes too. Probably not the ruined terrain. I just bought a big wad of MDF columns & walls & doors so I'll just use those. They also just today announced a follow on book, hereinafter referred to as Book of the Underlands.
I'm looking forward to secundus. I'm planning on a house greim astra militarum squad. Probably the 8th spiders. For bug hunting. And retrieval of lost stc's and equipment.
You claimed you need the Arcane Journal to play a faction in Old World? This is not true at all, the Arcane Journal just has some Magic items and the named characters that is hardly a necessity. I have been playing without an Arcane Journal from release as Empire.
I know you guys don’t play The Old World, but it’s not ok to give incorrect information. Dwarfs are perfectly playable since the release of TOW, actually all the factions are. The Arcane Journal supplements are just that, supplement books. The books add extra lore, magic items and flavourful narrative detachments. Also, the "old is bad" schtick is getting tiresome. There’s a difference between being sculpted by hand and digitally sculpted models. For what it is and the period they were made, they are amazing models.
I'll have to hard disagree on the 2nd point - it's not that they're old, there are lots of old models that hold up wonderfully. These do not - in our opinion obviously, and it is all opinion of course. For me personally it's the proportions, perhaps no better indicated than the transition from the Slayers to the Hammerers. The latter look like classic Dwarves to me, the former look like hobbits. To the Arcane Journal, we're probably just cynical when it comes to GW releasing books. Especially when they've got the named characters - no you don't "need" them to play but you're missing out.
am glad its coming it be after the first week of august lo. plus I think the 8 van saar tek-hunter I don't think they are a new gang member's I think in game wise that your buying the suits for your normal gang
@@lordwellingstone4133 To each their own for sure. For me Warhammer Dwarfs need the chunky and exaggerated look you only get with the classic hand sculpted metal models. The modern sculpts are too smooth and lack the Warhammer feel. They look like they were designed on a computer (they were) and are plastic toys (they are).

Yeah we were WAY off the mark with that box price. Glad to be wrong!

I hadn't considered the map might be folded... nyrghhhh

It should cost the same as Hive War. Slightly more models than Hive War with 1/20th the terrain.
You turned out to be correct and we were COMPLETELY wrong!

Yep just preordered dwarfs and necromunda… eek…
I am currently thinking about selling my Bret’s for Hive Secundus.
Your excitement for Necromunda is contagious,
but dear god, you got some pretty terrible Old World takes.
Wow. You guys have horrible taste in models. Classic Warhammer models are the best. The modern stuff, like the gyrocopter you guys like, are garbage.
To each their own, as a long time player, those old dwarfs are GARBAGE sculpts.

@@GoatTheGoat I don't see anything with either of those aspects 😆
I mean, they ARE toy soldiers.
To each their own, but they're let down by the comparison here - Ungrim looks fantastic, like a Dwarf Slayer king. It is all subjective.
@@miniaturesrundown That we can agree on. Ungrim is an A+ model. But he was hand sculpted, not CAD.
