The Rusty Lake underground is clearly a metaphor for Laura’s life, not meant to be taken literally, because we know from Cube Escape that she died in the cabin and from Samsara Room that she broke up with Bob in the Owl’s Nest cafe. And it’s reasonable that she herself was seeing her life as a train, it was already clear from the other games that she was feeling disconnected from her life due to (what we know to be) her past life as William interfering with her present. I do wish the game could have been longer, but developers did such an amazing job with everything. Also, the train conductor is Mr. Crow in human form!
Okay, a few issues with this video. The substance used in Rose's birth wasn't the elixir, as what the elixir as the elixir gives you either eternal life or sudden death. Bird bridge station is where Bob and Laura meet for the first time or at least when they first start talking to each other. Also you mentioned dementia, but Laura doesn't have dementia. In fact her memory is very good as some of the escape cube games take place in her memories. The reason Laura breaks up with Bob is due to her depression, not dementia. The white door card in Bob's wallet is actually because that's where he is heading as after Laura's death Bob becomes very depressed. As for the whole human sacrifice thing, that wasn't Laura's ancestors, that was a different family that as far as we know has no connection to the Vanderboom family outside of Aldous and Jacob being friends. Also the sacrifices weren't for personal or material gain, it's to stop the plagues ravishing the area. The requires memories or else it'll release plagues onto the of rusty lake. Laura's dream doesn't have mister crow in it at all but instead shows Bob as a robin. Laura's death had less to do with being haunted by memories from her past lives and more to do with her just having suicidal depression as a result of many things through out her life. Laura does not move on to the next world in fact she has the corruption removed form her soul and placed into Dale, and then she is brought back to life to full fill her destiny as lady of the lake. Also Albert doesn't get reincarnated, he get's resurrected. Normally this isn't an issue but in rusty lake reincarnation means you become a completely different person that normally has no memories of their past lives. Albert's resurrection had nothing to do with Laura's death, the corrupted soul following her is a metaphor for her suicidal thoughts that's why when she dies she becomes the corrupted souls as the suicidal thoughts take over. Also William is Mr. Crow's brother that is his only connection to the birds, how ever Laura is in fact William's reincarnation. And that was all the issues I notice, I hope this helps next time you cover rusty lake.
Great clarifications and I agree with all except that the original sacrifice wasn’t to stop the plagues, it was to become immortal. But Jakob the first born was supposed to be the one sacrificed until his mother stepped in and was sacrificed instead to save him, but it didn’t work and that caused the plagues. So Jakob had to come back to the island to stop the plagues and in doing so he became immortal himself as Mr Owl. The whole Eilander family was seemingly obsessed with immortality and as they used to the elixir to accomplish it they became the human-animal hybrids.
@@HughMNity Well though out the games it's stated that lake require memories but the reason is never given, I assumed that since feeding the cubes aka memories to the lake stopped the plagues, I assumed that stopping the plagues was the reason the lake need memories. I also assumed that sacrificing people to the lake was just them giving the lake memories before they had memory extraction machines like the one in CE: The Mill. Also I'm like 80% sure that the reason Jakob had to be called back to the island was because his mother made it so that they couldn't use her memories and not being able to feed the lake memories is what caused the plague.
Glad you decided to cover Underground Blossom! Also please do the other games! You gotta see more of how crazy the fate of the Vanderboom family. Also the way Rose has two versions in a tree is shown in a previous game The Past Within, definitely try it with a friend.
I love you for this Rusty Lake franchise does not get enough enough attention I just one of the best games I’ve ever played in my life and I have been obsessed with their games since I was a young team thank you so much. Can you please make a big series on explaining their games although I already know, it would be nice for other people to get to experience as well.
The character who was behind Rose is called a corrupt soul and in this case it is Rose's father Albert and what he had on his head is one of his many masks he wears
wendigo don't have deer skulls, pop culture gets that wrong (until dawn got it right weirdly enough) and ice blizzard zombie ghost is maybe more accurate a description for the wendi
7:28 Not in Cube Escape. Separate Rusty Lake game, part of the lore, created by a different studio. We see a little of the first breakup from Robert’s POV.
Second Maze is part of the Rusty Lake company, TWD was a publishing/distribuiting way of promoting Second Maze as Rusty Lake likes to show their support to other games In the video, he mentions Rusty Lake/Cube Escape just as the name of the series as "Cube Escape" is indeed more popular than "Rusty Lake" as a brand, so people that are new and dont know the other games can understand :p
I played a bunch of the cube escape games right before flash wash taken down (rip 🙁) My favorite was Cube Escape: Theater I’m going to have to look and see if any of those games have been converted to html5 or Ruffle
Albert has planned his return way back in the lore As underground blossom shows rose following the lead he left for her to find Also it seems albert was a good father to her? I wouldnt be surprised if he taught her everything he knew
Wow, thank you! I had no idea about most of the things you explained in the video. This channel is awesome. I'm definitely tapping on that subscription button.
so great ! when i was younger i suddenly discovered the games without knowing anything and i got stuck on soooo many puzzles haha and i ended up playing all free games of theirs, so fun but brain juggler for me!
I'm really interested in the call that the main character makes in "Child Lane" because it seems that making that call was what alerted Albert/The Deer to where Rose was, and he says thank you for calling. So did Harvey set Rose up somehow?
Albert called Harvey to tell him that he is coming to get Rose and Rose knows that as Albert has already told her the plan of his ressurrection in The Past Within (Past), in 1926 Albert is that corrupted soul with a deer mask (Not Mr. Deer)
*hears the name Rose* Waaaaait a minute... If we go off of the Past Within, Albert needed both the young and older Rose. Somehow, the two versions of her were able to connect and they even helped each other solve puzzles. Even somehow able to transfer flesh, blood and bone through time. Now I can't help but wonder between those two time periods, remembering what happened in the end. Also, yikes, I didn't know all of that about Albert as I only saw the Past Within... how deep does this rabbit hold go?
Is Albert tormenting Laura because he needs her as a sacrifice for rebirth or is Williams soul trying to be free of Laura - hence her mental condition? Also I thought William was rebirthed into Laura and did not become Mr Owl?
1. Albert has nothing to do with Laura, he only wants Rose so she can revive him 2. The only thing left of William in Laura is his memories, including the ones about the Elixir. That's why Mr. Crow extracted the memories in The Mill and why William is mentioned in The Cave. William basically no longer exists (It's sad, I know, but that's the truth) 3. Play Rusty Lake Paradise to find out about the origins of Mr. Owl ;)
@@DK_731 I do actually already know the origins of Mr Owl. and to say I am quite confused about the whole Caroline// Mr Owl Jakob// Mr Owl but it shocked me and I was quite happy.. Dont get me started on Dale and Mr Owl because I went dont a dark route there in terms of theories

Are there evidence that suggest Laura was suffering from early-dementia? This information completely eluded me in playthrough.
I literally I thought that too. I thought the memory problem was the evil magic of her family.
There's evidence for depression, but not for dementia.
No lmao he just invented that 💀
Albert has planned his return way back in the lore
As underground blossom shows rose following the lead he left for her to find

Please do more of these they’re so complex and hard to keep up with
