Still extremely difficult to pull off well in a pressure packed situation like a battle in front of thousands. It's a brilliant and famous routine so I'm not diminishing how great it is, just explaining how he does it. DJ Swamp used this approach before him, Craze as well. Kentaro came up with a super creative way to do it in that first routine in this vid that came from his '01 DMC.
In fact this routine can only be done on the technics mixer because of the way the mid works as its spread between the high and low eq controls and gives the hollow noise

kentaroは上手いのは勿論だけどテクニック面抜きにしても単純に出てる音や流れの組み立て等がカッコいいと感じる人は多いと思う
むしろ上手さよりその音楽センスにカッコ良さを感じる
DJにとって大事な部分だと思う
スクラッチがめちゃくちゃ上手い人は多くてもそういうDJは意外と少ない
