Looks to me they were trying to make it seamless by bogging up the joints, I'm sure they weren't single peice 😂 certainly getting it done, thanks for sharing, all the best to you and your loved ones
I don't think I have ever seen a vehicle with that much filler. Im from the Southern part of the U.S. so that may be why I haven't seen that. I have no doubt that you will get it all sorted! Keep up the good work! 😁👍
Have you got any bits in your parts collection? I like the way you are going in making new sections.. then you will have pure metal with no rust ! Kool!
Very happy with front end and partially the front wing . But need advice on front bumper mounts. I will be making my own panels . Thanks 👍
Here we call that a Bondo Buggy . If it was me I would use some of the Bug Parts you have stacked up and build a custom..
I’ve seen a few custom ones Joe but prefer as is
if you can find 2 hands parts you will save time on fabrication , but not easy good luck Andy
👍
Seek and ye shall find old mate.

As you say, just chipping away, glad you are working on other projects and other people’s VWs.
Cheers Jim I’m enjoying this one but crazy how much filler there is on it

I’ve a crate of Karmann ghia repair panels but not the ones I’m needing, I’ll make my own 👍
@@vwcoco Go for fabrication.. I like the challenge of making my own parts , close to original. Hope you have good metal to weld on to.
@@RebeccaMorgan-k7x 👍 pattern repair panels are ok but you always got to tweak them ,sometimes alot
