Leave other film suggestions here! I’m thinking of tackling all the cult classics I haven’t seen like Saving Private Ryan, Back to the Future etc.

The thing about Lawyers is, everyone has the right to one.. even the guilty. And a Lawyer could hate the person they're defending and hope that person goes down, but if the Lawyer doesn't do everything they can to get their client off the entire case could be thrown out and absolutely no charges at all.. so they argue and do their job and hope for the best.
In this context, "Don't jerk me off" means "Don't speak down to me, misrepresent the situation because you're assuming I'm incapable of understanding the true picture". Basically, "treat me as your equal".
I remember the first time I ever watched this movie and just being absolutely in awe at how amazing it was
You shave your chest to wear a wire. Else the tape will tear off the hair.
The crazy thing about this film, as disturbing as it is, is the only murder shown on screen is Mills shooting the killer. Just brilliant writing and filmmaking.
This movie and Zodiac were part Matt Reeves' inspirations for making The Batman
My favorite movie of all time! I love watching people watch it for the first time
Lawyers who defend murderers are a necessary evil. Without competent defense, we can't expose flaws in the prosecution. Both sides are necessary to evolve into a truly fair trial, and we're so far from that even now.
Cult classics from the 80’s - The Goonies, Red Dawn, The Outsiders, They Live, Big Trouble In Little China, Gremlins, National Lampoons Vacation, Ghostbusters, The Lost Boys, The Breakfast Club, War Games, Project X, Princess Bride, Stand By Me, Big, so many more!!
Alyska: "I decided to watch Se7en"
Intro music comes up.
What made seven so terrifying is we see the aftermath of each killing.
Alyska: "Is this film a horror film?"
7 is one of those films you try hard to forget then like 5 years from now you'll go, "Oh yeah, 7.. I remember that was a great film!" then you get to the lust murder and you remember why you've only seen the film a very few times..
"All rise. Has the jury reached a verdict?"
The two you mentioned, “Shawshank Redemption” (more Morgan Freeman) and “Forrest Gump” (start a Tom Hanks rabbit hole) would be good… also “Fight Club” (more Brad Pitt) and “The Usual Suspects” (more Kevin Spacey).
Se7en is such a thriller that it almost veers into horror. I might have been 13 or something when I saw it the first time and I swear, the guy in the bed freakes me out to this day!
