Yep, this is a struggle with recording in a workshop where the audio bounces. I use a Sony a6000, it's a solid performer. I might need to lay some carpet on the walls.

@@zfgesk8 I understand yes, that's some hard setting when sound bounces like that. But in this situation, you probably shouldn't use the mic from the camera. The easiest option is to get a $30 lavalier mic and strap it to your chest :)
