- Harry and Meghan attended the annual Mountbatten festival of Music at the Royal Albert Hall, as they take part in their final few official engagements as members of the royal family.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex arrived in the auditorium to applause lasting several minutes, and both were visibly touched.

As some people do not get it, I am borrowing this from CJ Osbourne: The standing O began long before they were escorted in and was for the conductor and orchestra (AS IT IS EVERY YEAR). IF YOU WOULD WATCH PRIOR YEARS benefits you would see that the Royal (such as Prince Philip) knows it is for the conductor and orchestra. Only MM was ego driven enough to think it was for them. She is shameful and the BRF are better off without her embarrassing gaffes.
She is such an embarrassment to 🇺🇲‼️ UK, please know she doesn't represent 99.9% of the citizens of the U.S.

It’s probably the most embarrassing video of Meghan and Harry as they assumed they were being clapped when in fact that walked in as clapping was occurring for something completely unrelated to them. Meghan smiled and gushed in thanks as she assumed her spot, and Harry much did the same thing. Probably good thing they both had no clue it was not for them as that would have made it more super awkward than it already was. Comedy gold.

My personal favorite is when they attempted to crash the event for the anniversary of King Charles' Investiture of the Prince of Wales. They were firmly put in their place several times much to their embarrassment & at the end you can see M rapidly blinking and swallowing like she was trying not to cry.
The people around them certainly realised that they thought it was for them. Just look at the faces and the way they look at the Markles and laugh.
The audience was clapping for the Conductor, NOT MEGHORN!

Unless the BBC and the rest of the British press are also mistaken, the applause was for them. It was in several news papers and tv news that they were held in the hall while announced and received a standing o. So other than the click bait half video. It was totally for them.

Correction, the standing ,an clapping were going on before H and mm walked in. They were applauding the music, ph & mm were a bit late and

This has been edited! The standing O is for the conductor and the musicians! They then went into the National Anthem (Harry had to make sure she did not sit down, as she began to do so). The "Royals" are brought from the back to the front AFTER the audience begins the applause for the orchestra and conductor. The bright lights are on the musicians. If MM had the interest and watched prior broadcasts, she would have known the standing O is NOT for them. She is such an egoist that she THOUGHT it was for her.

It's just like branching out to start a career in distant lands and saying goodbye to family you love and cherish because they have always had your back and wish you well. They may well be sad at the Commonwealth service too, but they know that they will always be accepted in all the Commonwealth nations except perhaps, Australia and what they bring to the development of Commonwealth young people is valueless and wears no crown. Their global charitable endeavours will be accepted and supported around the Commonwealth too, most of us are independent nations not dictated to by the UK government and the British public.

@M99980 She was only around for 2minutes, not decades! For crying out loud! Every royal gets bad press and it tails off naturally. You can't marry into such a family at 42years old and not realise that the press/media (call it whatever you like) would be interested. Harry was big news and that would obviously draw attention to whoever he marries. With patience, everything would simmer down. They are just lacking in areas of emotional intelligence.

What a terrible showing off yet again. M requires someone to "open her door", then she pushes herself forwards to be the very first to shake hands instead of Harry who it should be, they get into the RAH - not a standing ovation as they haven't been announced perhaps the audience were clapping for a piece of music that had been played. The utter travesty of such an occasion being used again by Markle to push Harry around as usual demanding he "hold her hand" which Harry DOES NOT want to do!
