- When Queen Elizabeth visited Singapore in 2006, her hotel requested a set of lampshades from Connie and Hans Sengalrayan. What makes their lampshades so special?
As the last Dutch Lampshade Maker in Singapore, Connie continues to fulfil each order by hand and with a lot of love for her craft. The results are exquisite.
Even though they knew they weren’t going to get rich making lampshades, Connie and her late husband, Hans Sengalrayan, carried on his parents’ Dutch lampshade trade. They did it because they respected the trade and loved the crafting process.
This is their legacy.

Hello Connie, your lampshades are awesome. May I place order for a pair of your delicate products? Hopefully, you are still doing the lampshade business.
