Even in India, they used to have gatherings where people sang away their troubles. There was always plenty of them. In hindsight, it was poverty that made the Anlo Indian community stay together. Thank God they migrated. God saved us.
AH ! I REMEMBER MY CHILDHOOD IN INDIA . A.I. " FAMILY FUNCTIONS " " MOONLIGHT PICNICS" "WHIST -DRIVES " "HOUSEY " IN THE CHURCH HALLS ORGANISED BY THE ANGLO-INDIAN COMMUNITY. THEY ARE ALL AROUND THE WORLD.
I remember those songs when my Dad had all the friends and neighbours over for a sing a long just before christmas at our place in Ripon Street! - all the boys from British Airways
They had to sing and dance! What else was there for them to do? The human condition requires a certain amount of hope and happiness. Do you notice how all the songs are in English! Even amongst the British there was marginalisation. On a fact finding mission, many years ago, I found the Church of England in India , had different seating arrangements for those of lower social standing! God bless all Anglos. I hope they remain happy!
A very mixed up and shambolic comment. Your attempt at being intellectual makes you look rather stupid. Also what language songs do you expect them to sing? After all their mother tongue is English. You Mutt !!!!! 😂
