now that you mention it, i think the next one piece movie'll be like that-luffy taking the big bro role and encouraging someone who's been traumatized by a certain situation to actually face it head on.
Way to reignite the Great Pirate Era. Kudos to Vegapunk. Everybody was after the One Piece for the sake of finding treasure and for a sense of adventure. Now everybody knows it comes with world domination.
The last panel with all those figures reminds me of the beginning of the war of Marineford with Whitebeard, Sengoku, Marco, Jozu, Aokiji, Kizaru, Akainu and the rest letting us know that war of the startup the shaking foundation of the OP world!
I freaking knew Roger started the Great Pirate Era for everyone to learn the truth about Joyboy and the Void Century! Then again, I’m sure it was obvious even before this chapter dropped.
Speaking of the chapter, this might sound odd, but when Bonney was declaring that she will live for her parents, quite similar to Robin which I can see an interesting dynamic there now, and landing the final blow followed by the final page, I had the orchestral instrumental version of Simple and Clean playing in my head. I couldn’t help it, it just felt like the perfect victory music for me at that moment, especially after Saturn’s defeat. God, Did Seeing That Feel Good! 🤩
The silhouette is Shanks' left arm who ate the menacing blackened figure fruit

The shanks and his evil twin thing could be another version of dolflamingo and corazon. One brother who is naturally evil and one brother that is naturally good. Saturns science experiments could have something to do with it. We still don’t know why shanks was left in the chest at god valley after all 🤷♂️
I feel the silhouette can be the man with the burnt scar. The panel shows people who has the most relevance in the future story and that man is definitely one.

Everyone really seems to ignore this, but we know the man marked by flames sails in a solid black ship. The only other solid black ship we see was very recently to be revealed as Dragon.
What a send off for Egg Head.
I understand not getting to spend too much time with Bonney such that these moments don't hit as hard but i think you're overlooking the fact that Bonney is *everything* Kuma fought for.
We spent all this time with Kuma, saw his life, how he struggled from young age til now, through love and strife, to see his offspring, Bonney take the reigns and _fly_ where he literally crawled
Then walked...
Then ran...
Then FLEW, climbed, FLEW again across the planet to make sure his dear daughter gets to soar to heights he himself could not reach.
The emotional punch to the gut come not just from the fact we saw Kuma's story, but the fact the object of Kuma's journey, ultimately, is Bonney. His faith unwavering, his love unconditional, to take form in a daughter that, because of Kuma's lifelong efforts is now able to come into her own and become [like] the very hero he was taught to as a child, fighting alongside the very legendary hero HE HIMSELF looked up to.
Bonney should be looked at not just as her own character, but a blossoming flower that Kuma directly helped cultivate. One that, through his efforts, finally bloomed via the power of the Sun (God).
A flower that was sick when he got it, kept in shadow, the world taking steps to snuff out the life given him but took it as an opportunity to plant himself and nurture.
To what is now a beautiful free Nika flower bloomed right alongside the actual Nika flower so that world now has 2 to look up to. The development is 2-fold.
Bonney is Kuma's efforts made manifest. Her development isn't so much able to stand on her own (yet) but to see it as a continuiation and torch-passing from Kuma. A journey we saw in parts since her introduction in Sabaody (retroactively). He journey before Sabaody just boiled down to "is Kuma here? No? Alright next." We don't need to see that in full. He with the Memory Bubble is her and the audience experiencing Kuma's story in full. With the context, everything she does afterward is with Kuma's story in mind. And when there was one last effort by the world to snuff out that flower, Kuma's final autonomous act is the Father Punch he dealt Saturn. After that act is when she sees G5 Luffy and the rest is history.
THAT is why Bonney going Nika hits so hard with me at least.
I think this mysterious shadowed person might be our long hinted at Pirate with an eyepatch. Oda mentioned something about having a certain character for different classic Pirate motifs, and this seems like a good timr for him to use his last one.
Maybe the Man with the Burn Scar and the Pirate with an Eyepatch are actually one and the same.
The final panel implies a lot of what I’ve seen saying. Pirates including Shanks having higher portrayal than everyone else and match ups on parallel sides
Sabo vs Akainu
Shanks vs Cross Guild
Luffy vs Blackbeard
Oda said the series ends after the One Piece everything implies final battle is pirate vs pirate so if Shanks is engaging Cross Guild around the time Luffy faces Blackbeard the finale is Luffy vs Shanks with likely Mihawk ending up on his side and facing Zoro at the same time. Imu likely goes down before Blackbeard, in addition to him having higher placement in the panel there’s the logic that the WG is being set up as the immediate next big bad that needs attention
All those breaks before and during egg head are coming to fruition now. This is the golden age of One Piece
what if vegapunk cloned St.Figarland Garling just how he did with Stussy, and that's the "shanks" that was talking to the five elders... maybe I'm tripping
Figarland is Uta (film Red)'s family. I have different guess. Shanks is Rocks D. Shanks son of Xebec. The guy below Dragon is Xebec clone.

Time to put on the tin foil hat. If shanks has a twin brother it makes the Blackbeard triple souls theory even more interesting. Maybe he also has the soul of his other brothers which explains how he could have multiple fruits

What’s silhouette?
Current era is far more difficult than Roger old era...many factions including wg is going after one piece,wg,imu and elders are even involved directly in conflict and now has vendetta against Luffy, ancient weapons will be used and many more things... becoming pirate king now is far more difficult
Personally I really liked the Bonney moment, but I do generally agree with ur points, we def didn’t spend enough time with Bonney this arc to really make Egghead feel like “Bonney’s arc” the way the rest of the Strawhats storylines really feel like their own. If anything, this was Kuma’s arc.
Which is why I feel like Bonneys story will be a different arc, I think it’ll be something with Blackbeard (maybe they go to Hachinosu?) Blackbeard seems to have something to do with that Akainu moment, and I feel Bonney and Blackbeard have some unfinished business together.
We are confused by Shanks' role throughout the series when it turns out he has had a twin, I don't think this is a bad idea. and are the siblings Shanks and Burn Scar the same figure? maybe not but they could be a gang on the same ship, are they holy knights?? and among their gang, there must be a fishman who is a traitor. a fishman who can enter fishmand island and steal road poneglpyh and his job is to create a whirlpool to destroy enemy ships like the description Lafite said, Shiryu also added that maybe this burnt man is collaborating with the government, what about their ship? As far as I remember, the shape of the ship described by Lafite, the shape of the ship is similar to the ships of world governments which have many tall sails. what about the black ship issue? Maybe this is another way of saying "no one could see the ship because it was blocked by something like fog" or maybe another devil fruit. Oh, can this group only steal 1 road poneglyph in the entire series? what if I say they managed to copypaste all the red poneglyphs without being noticed except for 1, the poneglphy which is in zou! Dragon said the movement of the Holy Knights was the beginning of a major disaster that perhaps they had been doing for a long time!
People in this day and age need to get rid of these learned preconceived notions of good and bad writing
An evil twin is not an inherently bad thing, it's just a thing that's been done a bunch to the point it's become a cliche, a joke, but that doesn't make it inherently bad. People have been taught that it's "bad" because they've been told so repeatedly on platforms like YT. The same thing goes for stuff like "the chosen one".
Kinda like people think if something doesn't make sense it's inherently bad, or how some think subverting expectations is inherently good
Or how ppl think realism and adult themes mean the writing is good
People are stuck in their limited paradigms, a simple form of that is how people reject one piece because the art style is "bad", it's not bad, it just doesn't conform to their limited set of rules of what "good art" is

Currently my speculations for the silhouette is either the man marked by flames and/or Wang Zhi, cuz he's been name dropped multiple times recently and we still haven't seen him

The final battle happening in Laugh Tale instead of Mariegeois is the best development suggested by this chapter
I saw that coming when we were shown that the Celestial Dragons food supply was destroyed and trade routes to Mariejois were cut off. Doffy was right. The Celestial Dragons are being forced down.

i think the most intriguing thing in the whole chapter is that when vegapunk was talking about the weapons, the characters he chooses to show are vivi, shirahoshi and skypea for some reason

Honestly, I don't blame you for the Bonney not resonating as much.
It's cathartic, yes, but unlike Kuma, we didn't really see her journey. We didn't *feel* what she felt like we did through the Kuma flashback so we can't have the same emotional release.
Still a great moment though
The fact that the marines and akainu are after the one piece changes everything, everything can happen the match ups won't be as predictable as we thought
Now it give the Marines an actual goal to take offense instead of usually being on the defense or responding only as a reaction to a cause.

And then the last panel has Fleet Admiral Akainu apart of the last players for the final saga. They're officially in the race now to find the One Piece.
Silhouette is rocks
One Piece chapter 1121 is one of the best chapters of the Egghead arc. The beginning of the end.
The chapter is excellent even in its title "The Ebb and Flow of the Ages". This actually references Roger's quote from chapter 100 "The Legend begins". "These things cannot be stopped. An inherited strength of will, one's dreams, the ebb and flow of the ages, as long as people hunger for freedom, these things will exist. -- Gold Roger, the King of the Pirates."
We already had chapters about inherited will and people's dreams. Now we have a chapter about the ebb and flow of the ages.
I just feel sad Vegapunk (Stella) will never find out the complete truth of the world.
I am still feels iffy about Bonney-
her age reveal and the way she was drawn.. make me feel uncomoftrable..
and her wierd mary sue-ish powerups..

The ending reminded me of introduction of worst generation. World of one piece is so vast and there are lot of characters and not just luffy who wants to get at the top.

Whats interesting about Bonney is that her backstory is Kuma's backstory. So much of Kuma's life was her and so much of her life was supposed to be him...
That moment was not just Bonney's, but Kuma's, as she experienced all of his memories. Being a child, so much of her life was supposed to be her parents, but she was deprived of that. Getting revenge for her father, her mother and herself in that punch with the person embodying the beliefs of those three is great as a moment.
Until now, I didn't consider it fair to take Bonney as an individual, because much of her was looking for her father and the figure her dad venerated. Then it became about avenging her father, and her mother after she ate the Bubble. I'd say that its only now that shes truly free, as she accomplished her revenge and got to meet her father again. Only now will she act as a true free agent, and develop a dream beyond Kuma's own of travelling the world with her.

I agree with the want for more time spent with Bonney's POV, she's piggy backing off of Kuma's backstory a lot for me right now. But I feel like there's a perfect chance to look at her more as character post egg head with the now salvaged Kuma in their care. Really looking forward to what Oda decides to do with Kuma and how he ties that in with Bonnies character. Also Im personally hoping Oda saves kuma through some kind of de-cyborgization process lead by Franky, a perfect way to sneak in a potential great Franky character moment. And honestly, Kuma more than any character deserves to live after the hell he's been through. I'm sure there will be more Ace level dramatics in the future :,)

The silhouette looks similar to one of the unkown silhouettes on Rocks crew in the flashback from the God Valley incident
I was thinking of it being Shanks's younger brother because someone as important and as cold blooded as Garling Figarland, someone that can judge Celestial Dragons, would obviously have another kid after "losing" Shanks at God Valley.
Sknahs gotta be cold blooded like Garling so that might be Shanks' final fight

That was shanks at Marigeois. The reason: when be intereupted the war, Sengoku says "we'll stop thewar because it's you". The gorosei say the same "only because it's you". Both referring to his Figarland heritage.
Both blackbeard and Greenbull say they can't fight Shanks... Then add "not yet". Wonder why.
I think it's important to remember that we saw Kuma's memories through bonnie re-experiencing them. So all of the pain he experienced was extremely fresh for her, and it probably opened old wounds, like never receiving letters. So, for me, we didn't need more bonnie backstory because Kuma's story was also hers.

They’re the only missing piece that in some way ties in the final road ponoglyph(or being able to read ponoglyphs) which is relevant to Vegapunk’s speech about finding the One Piece
That would be Dragon. The guy literally has a burn scar all over his face. And not it is not a tattoo those don't look like that in OP.
Dragon has the same red burn scar color Boa has on her back. And his ship is black as fuck and we already theorize that he has weather changing ablities, which could explain the tides and whirlpools

Cliches are not bad just by virtue of existing. They are bad because people usually use them in non imaginetive way. One Piece is full of cliches done amazing by Oda. Luffy is a walking cliche os shonen manga. The dumb protagonist with a huge appetite and an even bigger dream? But Luffy goes beyond the cliche, way beyond than Naruto, Goku, Yusuke or Seiya ever did.

Couldn't the man with the burn mark also be shanks brother ? I mean if he's Shanks brother he's probably really strong and he should have an important role, what's more important than keeping a poneglyph from the WG standpoint ? Like Shiliew said the world government should have the last poneglyph given their power and influence.
He may even be the next holy knight commander in line replacing garling who knows...
Also during his probable presence with the gorosei, we never saw his right side. He could hide a burn mark, maybe as a result of the battle of god valley...
For Shanks to be a twin would be interesting... one twin became a pirate and the other stayed behind in Marijois as a Celestial Dragon. Maybe it was the same guy who bowed before Imu in the garden and announced to him that the kings were there in the Reverie.

i guess when oda said one piece ends once te treasure is found it does make sense. it doesnt feel like were really need to go to mariejois anymore. as long as one gorosei is around, they can summon each other and most likely imu. we already see a lot of mariejois. important info could be explained and shown in flashback involving joyboy and imu. plus vegapunk basically sounded the gong for everyone to race towards laughtale.
Something to notice is that when Vagapunk is talking about the ancient weapons, it's cuts to Vivi, Shirahoshi and Skypia, maybe foreshadowing that the thing that destroyed Lulusia wasn't actually ancient technology but actually a sky Island

Saying and feeling that Bonney’s backstory wasn’t fully fleshed out is like saying she isn’t intrinsically tied to Kuma - crazy statement right? Oda doesn’t have to spell out how having your father turned into a cyborg and being a SA baby can make you feel lonely and wanting to believe in Nika. She wanted to die from feeling so lonely - she’s such a tragic character because of what the “choice” Kuma had to make. All because of Saturn. I think Egghead on reread will be one of the most emotionally hard hitting arcs to date in any story I’ve ever read, and a lot of them are from one piece lmao

I think it's rocks, it could be a great pay of to the setup he has been getting as a relevant player, make sense of why he is operating alone and result in the reveal of the ommited facts from the fight with Roger and rocks in kumas backstory
If not Shanks’ twin brother, but a younger brother born after Shanks was taken after God Valley to be raised to what Shanks was supposed to be? Or a twin brother isn’t too hard of a stretch.

I feel like Bonney's "backstory" would have just been a compilation of her different moments in the story since we met her in Sabaody. Like her crying at Marineford, being captured by Blackbeard, going to Mariejois and meeting Sabo, etc.
No one I’ve seen has mentioned that the man with the burn mark and shanks twin/brother can be one and the same person.
We haven’t seen the other side of his face. If he has a burn mark, then he would parallel Shanks. But still be different due to what the wound looks like and its cause.
Honestly.. I get.. oda is a good storyteller, but the fact that you can't get a single one video without mentioning of his name is really tiring. Sometimes, it feels less like a discussion on one piece and more like a glazefest of oda.

What would the purpose of Lilith joining the crew be? I think both roles she could fill are already taken e.g. Robin and Franky. I could see her going out in a couple of chapters. What do you guys think?

Bonney would fit better imo
While I do love Gear 5, this chapter really reinforced my fears that it takes away a lot of the dramatic tension. The final blow on Saturn didn’t hit as hard for me as past finishing moves, Kuma’s punch felt like the dramatic peak of that confrontation.
Could kuzan be pulling the strings behind Sword? Havent seen anyone thinking this as a possibility because just 180ing to help blackbeard doesn't make sense to me?

the only reason I could believe to the "evil twin" theory is that Luffy still needs to beat Shanks. it could be a nice twist to it, that will allow Luffy go all out.

The best part about it is at the beginning I was thinking vega punk was just going to pit everyone onto the world government so they can be defeated. No he just tossed everything up put everyone’s greed to test

My thoughts & opinions of the chapter:
1. When reading about Vegapunk mentioning the One Piece, as well as Luffy's fellow Emperors & other important figures reacting to it, wouldn't this lead to the battle royal that Oda once mentioned in the past!?
2. Assuming the person we saw in the final page of the chapter was a Holy Knight, and he/she is bound to appear in the chapters to come, especially after the Egghead Arc, then wouldn't this be a perfect opportunity for Dragon & the RA to make their move since drawing them out was partially the reason they attacked Marie Geoise in the 1st place?!
I feel like yall take that battle Royale comment WAYYYY too seriously. He was saying what the general 'vibe' or tone of the story would be like. He meant it as in a way like 'Oh no way, Law is fighting Blackbeard! Kidd is fighting Shanks! Garp is fighting the blackbeard crew!' not that there will literally be a battle Royale where everyone is fighting in a free for all battle
