- I used BIG Shrimp to catch these fish and then THIS HAPPENED!!
In this episode I head offshore out of Alabama with my good friend @DustyFishCo to catch some giant offshore fish! we got started with some beautiful red snapper and then when we put this bait on Chaos erupted with these giant offshore fish!!

Definitely some nice snappers though there in the beginning, but I tend to think that it's more of a crime to use such a beautiful chunky shrimp for bait, when you probably could have a feast with those themselves!😅 Keep on creating these awesome fishing videos (ONLY😂🤣) though, I appreciate you taking me along! Hey brother how you? Sounds like a break off day man. Those are the days we hate. If you catch them that one thing. But it looks like it was still a fun day just being out there. You & your family have a good safe holiday brother. I am leaving in the morning to go on a 30 to 50 miles kayak camping trip & i can't wait man. I am going to do some fishing while kayaking. I haven't been on my Kayak since early July last year because of Hurricane 🌀 relief program . Be safe out there on the water this weekend brother. Going to be a lot of DUI boaters out there.

Sorry you lost those. i think the knocker rig might have been the problem. i would have thrown the bait out with just a hook. the sinker close to the hook allows the head shakes to loosen the hook love your videos

I use to work out there make sure you watch for them rigs with warning signs them are your H2s rigs stay away when the yellow light flash. Use a wire leader I use to fish out there all The time fun fishing. Try to find some squid they lobe that bait.

That was one frustrating video to watch. I kept thinking get rid of that dang slip sinker and hook the hardtail in front of the dorsal fin. If he is a little to frisky just clip his tail off. Chunking was a step in the right direction if Cobia are around they will come right to the boat. Oh well, you will get them the next time.

How do you suspend the prawn with the knocker rig only 15 foot down in 50 feet of water? And with the bail open? Is the shrimp/prawn free-lined and floating above the weight then?
Also these offshore videos are so sick!
I have a light egg weight that the current won’t let go all the way to the bottom and I’m feeding out just enough line where I think I’m around 15 feet down under the rig
Do these fish not like steel leaders? I think I woulda put one after losing a few.
The fish I was targeting are typically not caught with steel leader but the kings and sharks definitely need it

I’ve been fishing for a very long time. Also been watching fishing videos for very long time. That cobia segment was absolutely disgusting. I cringed with every missed opportunity with little to no adjustments😢
