- Zeiss Conquest 6-24x50 V4 full Review , absolutely incredible SFP scope . Zeiss is known for incredible glass for a reason and the Conquest series is at the very top in its price range . Guys make sure and go to Optics Force for Zeiss , Steiner , Burris , ARKEN , Vortex and a LOT of other optics and shooting gear . OPTICS FORCE . Link to Optics Force Website . opticsforce.co... use this link and it can save you money and helps support my channel .
I don't have that Conquest, but I have the 4x16x50 V4. I have the full illuminated reticle in mine if I need it. Put it on my Winchester XPR in 7 mag. Damn fine glass! Only wished it had a locking windage turret. Gave about $1100 dollars for it at Sportsmans Warehouse 3 years ago! Excellent scope for the money!😊
I till remember the first time I looked through a pair of Zeiss binoculars. Their glass is truly something that needs to be experienced.
I bought a Zeiss Conquest V4 4-16x44 from Optics Force strictly on your recommendation. It is indeed badass in every way.
Zeiss is definitely great glass! Great review Joe
100% accurate Joe. When in doubt Zeiss V4 is a choice that can’t miss. I wish they had a floating center dot reticle. That’s my favorite reticle. I’m gonna have to try a floating center crosshair reticle. It may work for me. The 1966 model eyes like 2nd focal plane and floating red dots. I’ll never know till I look at a New Zeiss.
I've always had great success with the Zeiss Conquest range of scopes over the years, because they are so quality made and the glass so good. Every few years the range is refreshed and better for it. The parallax down to 10m means it can go on an air rifle or rimfire too. Big plus, take a digital Add-On like a Pard 007 for occasional night vision forays. Feature wise they seem just typical of so many scopes of this style, but few of the competition do them as well. They are just repeatable, dependable, and inspire confidence. Wow, I just don't need another scope, but these sure are tempting.
Almost $1400 so you're not in nose bleed territory but it's getting there. When you're in this range I think you could look at Meopta and save $400 or get a tad more power & pay the same. Leupold & Blurris (😁) come into the conversation. Swarovski might compete, I looked through a 3 - 9x with a first focal plane German "pointy" reticle in it years ago. I've never seen anything so clear, Sightron, Nightforce, Burris, Leupold, nothing. It had a small objective bell too. None of us could believe it, the price all those years ago was scary. Perfect for game animals though. Another good video.
Yeah.
Went with Schmit and Bender for precision wet work and Bushnell everyday wet work.

Outstanding Joe! Compliments on the quality of the audio and video!
You can't go wrong with a Zeiss. Great review, Joe!
Like the German rifle scopes never seen you tested a schmidt and bender.Love your channel and the way you do the testing with funny stuff to keep it enjoyable 😂
Ill never spend that much on a airgun scope but damn thats nice for $1400. Shoots above its price point from your video. 😊
New subscriber here. Absolutely love your channel-great content & quality. Getting a real education on scopes. Thanks & keep up the good work.
Thanks and welcome . I started this channel to help folks , and haven’t lost sight of that
I have the non illuminated 6-24 x 50 V4 and it doesn't have some of these features like the marks at 12x and 24x but the data sheet available explains the reticle well. The elevation adjustment has a zero stop and 60 moa total adjustment one way. The windage adjustment is 40moa eiather direction except it is covered by a hunting cap. I also have two more conquest scopes that are about 17 years old now along with an 85mm diascope. They have been great but are developing tiny spots internally so I hope Zeiss will honor the lifetime warranty.
Newer models have locking windage turrets
It’s probably just dust . Take the scope off and give it a whack on the ocular end and it’ll clear the dust
@CyclopsJoeVideos The spots are inside where I can't get to it without disassembly. I would have to remove the lenses... why would dust get inside a sealed/purged optic? My family history goes back to Kodak, my great grandfather was good friends with George Eastman and held many patents while president of the roll coating division... we, and I know optics and lens coatings, that's why I'm disappointed. My Leica optics are still good from the 50's and earlier. My Zeiss have all been top notch. Not used too much, never abused, but newer tech seems to not hold up to time. My Leica rangemaster has a soft touch coating (body, not lenses) that is getting "sticky" it is a chemical breakdown. Not as bad as other products with the fad coating of the early 2000's but it annoys me when I use it.
Great video Sir, it's amazing how much you discussed in under 5 minutes
Thanks my friend
Thanks Joe !
Zeiss is excellent quality optics.
Yes they are!
Awesome scope
Awesome video
Super cool shirt! Thanks brother!
Hope your doing great sir I haven't heard from you in awhile. Glad your doing well my friend! Be safe and I'll see you on the next video shooter!
Looking good, joe joe !
Another great review Joe!
I had this scope. Loved it
I've buying the piss out of these lately!! Love them.
They are great !
Great review. Sent you a gift!
I got the 4×16×44 discounted from midway, badass ass, next rifle gets the 6×24
Nice scope! I have one on my Tikka Tac A1.
Right on
instead of continuing to buy several of the cheap chintzy scopes I’m just going to abstain and save up for a Zeiss. They seem to be pretty awesome. I love some clear glass and I know they have that.
Have a need to purchase my first scope. As I understand, with a 45-70 I can’t go bargain and expect it to last. I’m looking at a Vortex 2-7 32mm., since that caliber isn’t really long distance. Is there anything else you may suggest to look at? Thanks for the informative videos. Edit: I just saw you gave a poor review to the Crossfire 2. Extremely poor. I don’t have a huge budget, but would rather only do this once. Looking forward to any input you have.
Look HARD at the Hawke Vantage 2-7 . It’s a SUPER GOOD BUY
Very nice scope
Nice!❤️❤️❤️
Joe, have you ever tested a Trijicon Tenmile 5-50x56 Extreme Long-Range w/ Red/Green MOA Long Range, 34mm, Matte Black Riflescope 3000016
No never have
looks impressive
Kool scope
You should see it i n person
I got one on my 6 mm BR its ok its not the best in really low light situations compared too the v8 serie, but its a much cheeper scope I would think that the glas is better than Arken etc.
Good morning dear Joe. I would like to hear your opinion about the Crimson Trace scope, whether it would have the same quality as an Element, Arken vortex, etc
I haven’t tested the newer ones
Optical quality from the Zeiss is hard to beat. Nice to see more reticles available - loved the image quality on my ziess scope but ended up selling it due to the fact it was SFP with the Fuddy plex reticle. A FFP version of this scope with one of those new reticles would really be a nice upgrade to the Vortex scopes I fell into just to get the "Christmas tree" style reticle I prefer.
Just bought one. The elevation CAM was froze up and could not be removed. My gunsmith couldn’t adjust the elevation to bore sight it and said sent it back to Zeiss it was defective. My first Zeiss. Not looking good. Will soon find out how good the Zeiss service warranty department is. Beware…..
Vs. Arken EPL-4 6-24X50? You could have 4 Arkens, or 1 Conquest 4 for the same money. Is the Zeiss 4x better?
Well, the conquest is the middle tier of Zeiss scopes and just a few years ago were light year ahead o s any Chinese scope. As they say, the times are a changing. The Zeiss conquest line is better than ever. But the Chinese optics are advancing at light speed.
For my money, I shoot Zeiss, Athlon, and Arken. The Arken for the money is unreal. I only have one Athlon, and it is only a 4oo, buck scope. But it is very competent. My older Conquest has an image and color that blow the other two away. The way it can pick out an object in the dark woods is priceless. Yes Samantha, there is a difference.
Is it worth it to you. No way of my knowing. Worth it to me. Yep!
KnifeMaker
Zeiss isn’t going away so longevity is in the favor of Zeiss, but not saying Arken is going away of course. Resale value of the Zeiss would likewise be better unless Arken can have a name like Zeiss over the years.
Either is a great value. If you’re taking it to war go Zeiss, but anything else Arken is not a bad choice. That being said Arken might even be war worthy. I’d just trust my bacon to Zeiss if given the choice between the two.
👍👍
In your opinion, what is their best SFP hunting reticle with clean mil or moa marks?
Review a lrp s3
👍
What about people that look through a scope with their left eye? You didn't test that, will it work just as well?
He was testing a right handed scope. 😁
You just flip the scope around. Not while attached to the rifle though.
Is there a scope redical optimized for the 270 winchester ?
Look at 2nd focal plane , ballistic RETICLES . BUSHNELL has a few along with leupold
Who makes true 30 mm scope rings that are 1.5" high? I don't like AR cantilever one-piece mounts.
Bought a Zeiss Conquest V4 6-24x50 (unilluminated) from RedHawkRifles for much cheaper than OpticsForce. I wasn't impressed with it and sold it. Don't expect to get much on resale either (maybe half if you're lucky).
Are you Positive you bought a Real Zeiss scope?
Were they an Authorized Dealer?
Because Ebay, Amazon and others market Deceptive Knock offs just like they do with a hundred other Name Brand items.
You will always be Impressed by Zeiss, Swarovski Glass
What was wrong with it?
What did you replace it with?
How are you paying that much for a scope and not returning it if you don't like it? Always inspect glass before mounting....
@@nicedward7544 His story sounds a bit suspect imo.
You get what you pay for. I have an older Zeiss that is still amazing.
Its a zeiss but in terms of Valuem it isn't close to Arken. I think you can agree LOL
Did you mean "Value" or "Valium" ¿?¿? Hahaha!!! I could use a little "Valium" right now!
V4 is shit
Ah yes. A true wordsmith.
I've got 8 of the Zeiss Conquest scopes, V4s, same as in this video. None of them are more clear than the 2 Arken EPLs I have. In fact while shooting multiple rifles today, my vision prefers the Arken. I paid 799.00 for each of the Zeiss and 329.00 for the Arkens.
Wish I could get one for free lol for a new ruger precision 300 winmag
Yeah man me too . For my 223
👍👍
