Not easy to interpret. Most play it very Debussy-like, what you (fortunately) don't do. Boulanger's prelude en ré here has that typical French catholic idiom that I love and still hear when talented old school organ players improvise in Paris. d'un vieux jardin is such a masterpiece. It evokes what I see when I look at old grape vines. They have something magical. Thanks for sharing your passion for Boulanger with us.

Stunning. I've conducted almost all of Lili's choral-orchestral work (psalms 24, 129, 130 and the Funérailles) but this was my first time hearing these piano pieces. Amazing how much there is to discover and how consistently excellent the quality is. Bravo to you on these excellent performances!

Thank you, M. Cirse, for your nearly poetic description of these musical works. The French texts I typically read are mostly analytical or commercial, so I was very pleased to read your richly lyrical depiction of this music.

I just founnd out about Lilli, and it brought me to your site. Thanks so much Duco for helping to teach us about this unjustifiably unheralded genius. I hear a little Debussy, but I am not going to infer she's taking or stealing from he or Ravel, when impressionism was the ruling sound of that era.
