It's not about the tractor, the plow, or even how the wheels hubs are dished. It is all about the operator and their skill. It all looks good and that it was fun.
Can't tell you how much I needed to see some Plow Day. A bunch of friends using old machines to till the Earth is a welcome break to the horror of the world today. Carry on, Brother! (And I'm glad you are doing well enough to be there.)
Great video. Thank you. I imagine if you asked any of the guys wives where they were they would say "He and his friends are out playing with their tractors.". 🤣
60 years ago, and before, what we see here was a chore.. work that had to be done... hours and hours spent turning the soils. Today its a fun hobby on these beauties from the past. Nice to have friends with proper ROCK removal gear♥️👍👌👌😉
Man, if I were closer, had a way to haul equipment, and was cool enough to get invited, this would be awesome! I don't know of any plow days in my area. Only time I get to shine up a plow is to plow the garden.
10 hours on a tractor beats 1 hour at work. I've even forgotten to eat when it comes to tractor time. At work i need a snack every hour 😂 I have heard stories of old timers trying to dynamite the rocks, only to break windows nearby and not phase the rock! The plow job looks pretty good for mismatched equipment--everyone seems to be adjusted right and you're subject to the bottom design. Did you take in the World Ploughing Championships when they were in Ely? I was unable to make it, maybe the next one in 50 years😊
Remember boys, it’s not a race. We’re all here to work toward the greater good. You had a nice mix of tools for the job and it appears that all the tractors and plows held up admirably. I could smell freshly turned soil from my house. Nice set of videos. 🥸👍👀✅❗️
Where I live in northern New York we would hitch that four bottom to my SuM and four bottom semi mounted plow to my AC WD45. We have loamy soils mostly.😁
We used to grow tobacco here in WV. My dad would never have plowed that shallow. After seeing him plow for all those years your just scratching the top of the ground. He used an IH140 with a single bottom flip plow. No of that plowing in circles. You just turn around and plow in the same furrow in the opposite direction.
Hey Toby! Thanks for the ride. Looks like y'all had a great fun and we really enjoyed watching that beautiful earth being turned over. The way you guys work together is a thing of beauty. We really enjoyed watching the rocks get removed. We do live on a rock farm here lol.!!! So we can really appreciate the work that goes into that! Keep up the good work Toby it's a good to see you.
I love plow day! It’s amazing how much machinery they have available including big backhoes and dozers. And trucks. It also amazing how much work they do with vintage machines and plows.
I was just watching a program from MN Public Television about the Great Hinkley Fire of 1894. Just wondering if Senior and your properties were some of the land burned in that fire. Way before you and Senior's time but you seem to have a very good knowledge of the history of your area. Thanks from Lincoln county WI.👍
Ever tried Kverneland plow? Farmers all over the world are muche the same, they come together and help each other out when needed and often without being asked to
Loved the video's of 2023 plow day. Lots of great shots and rock adventures. I have a request for 2024. Can you add "Dragging the Line" back on the drone video. That was so cool in 2021. Good to see you back in the healthy Squatch form again.
Thanks for the video Toby. Man I wish I coulda been there. Long way to travel with what I have but woulda enjoyed it. Just had my scan done today on my left tonsil and now to go to 3 consultations to see what route I wanna go with this and what will be best for my health. All I know is once it’s done I’ll be healthier than I am now and the best people on it. Hope your eye is improving as it should. Thanks again and can’t wait for the next video!
@@squatch253 thanks Toby. Hearing that one quote at 41 scares the shit out of you but after today knowing it’s all in one area and an area that can easily be treated and back to somewhat normal is a good thing. Have to hear all the routes and make my decision what I wanna go with. Thanks again Toby. I appreciate it and means more than you can imagine
Man that would have fun to be there kinda wish I could have been if nothing else with my skid steere and grapple to try and move those big bolders lol I love a good challenge well done guys very well done😊
(Had to look this up, so posting it here for others as ignorant as me) The international 756 has a "book" drawbar power of 69 hp. Production dates '67 - '71.
Ok this is a California guy question I’m sure. But are those natural valleys or were the tree cleared out years ago. Just find it interesting how the dense the forest is around the land.
No draggin the line music music this year? I seen Mr Kyle Christ around the BFR but did he not do any plowing this year? Looks like you fellers made short work of 30 acres - well done good videos!
Why not just bury the large rocks a little deeper where they were located? It would not require as large of equipment, eliminate a dip in the field and reduce the the obstruction in the forest.
Hey brother i hope you're in good health and good spirits. Couple questions, what type of old mini excavator is that? And what are you guys planting up there this time of year?. Love to see that old iron doing its thing!
There’s a lot of generations of folks that had to plow around those rocks and thanks to Bob the rocks are gone in minutes. Too much fun, great Job!

I bet that dirt smells good. Nothing smells better than a freshly plowed field, beats the smell of a city any day.
Like the video on vintage tractor Power Plow .
Bob with the big Cat came in clutch!
That was one heck of a big boulder!!!
Boys are playing! And what a playground!!
That first big rock would make a good place to park that caterpillar twenty on. lol!
Great video. Thank you. I imagine if you asked any of the guys wives where they were they would say "He and his friends are out playing with their tractors.". 🤣
It's totaly mesmerising to see the plough do the ploughing. The soil beeing seemlesly turned around seemingly efortlesly and fluidly is marvelous.
Bob has the olny way to pick rocks Hydraulics, that was a fun plow day.
You guys sure got the job done!

Great video Toby! The drone shots were awesome. Man i laughed when Rick found road gear haha. He was gone like a shot. Bob was definitely mvp! Cheers
Field looks immaculate
While no one is a slouch out there, Bob handling that backhoe was a piece of art! I love seeing someone really one with the machine like that.
What a blast. At the end all I could think was "SHAKE AND BAKE, SLINGSHOT ENGAGED!"
Looks like those fields grew some good sized rocks.

Very nice ground to plow. Just folds over as neat as that. 👍🏻🚜
Yes, one of the best RUclipsrs out there!
It looks like a good place for the ACME rock crusher, when it's all done and ready.

Good job Squatch!! Looks like everyone was having a blast!!
The drivers on their tractors made for an interesting Fall Plow Day.
Love watching that D4 plow!
I know I'm biased, but that M sounds so gooooood pulling that two-bottom plow...
@@squatch253Bluetooth starter and all.

GREAT drone coverage.
Good morning
Thank you for the video
The super A was the X factor in getting it done sooner than later!
12:16 Thank you Squatch253 it reminds me of the plow days we had in San Ramon, California.!😊
Thanks for two more plough days mate
Excellent video it's nice to see the ground getting plowed up
The story of how the rock came to be there may never be told but I'm sure the journey was interesting.
That is something I’m often amazed by every time I dig out a big one or even find perfectly smooth river rocks on my property
Whenever you see allis orange on the cabs of some local equipment look out. Lol
Great episode Toby, I was kind of down...and watching gave me a smile. Thank you.
Really enjoyed this video so much and looks like you all had great fun. Please keep the videos coming and hope that your eye is healing well 👍
Good to see you out and about hope eyes are getting better
Always a fun time. Thanks for sharing!
Great video just nothing beats a vintage plough day an the smell of freshly turned dirt 💪💪👍
Hard to believe that within living memory those old machines were once the front line units in American food production.
I love plow day! It’s amazing how much machinery they have available including big backhoes and dozers. And trucks. It also amazing how much work they do with vintage machines and plows.
nice to see you have a drone for footage now. That will make for some cool new footage!
Excavator operator did a nice job on saving the trailer ramps.
Fun day - fun video👍🏼👍🏼Thanks for sharing!!

Looks like everyone had a good time, some big rocks out there. I am surprised that the tractors don't have a rock basket to place field stones in.
Heck, the second rock Bob took care of was also pretty BIG!
Those were some nice looking rocks for sittin or as a table.
Whew good thing senior showed up and grabbed a tractor Y’all still be rolling sod 😂 ✌️🤙

Looked like a good time!
You brought out the "Bigger Excavator" or maybe we should just call it the Bigger Digger to respond to the giant rock. What fun!
No Minneapolis Molines? They would pull through that sod like it was butter!
Man that would have fun to be there kinda wish I could have been if nothing else with my skid steere and grapple to try and move those big bolders lol I love a good challenge well done guys very well done😊
Don't worry Toby we will be here waiting. Never missed one since you started and not going to miss one now.
Great video.. we had a 311B great excavator trade it for a 314C. Great friends great time!! Thank you for sharing.
Wonder how many people cussed those big rocks over the years?
I remeber helping grandaddy blow rock with dynamite. Then we would go in and pick up the peices
Is it difficult to get used to the offset tractors? Question to Senior...
Great achievement, many hands, quick end!
Thx for showing!
👍👍👍
Growing up on a farmal A makes it normal..
I learned to drive tractor at age 4 on a farmall A
I sure do wish I could have been there 😢lol

That looks like a great time!
You know, those two rocks would make a set of anchor fixtures to your landscaping around your building site.
Shiny Bottom Boyz !!
😆
What crop will be planted on the new turned soil ?
Does running the tractors in the cut wear them lop sided similar to the crawlers? Like the Wheel and steering bearings.
Ok this is a California guy question I’m sure. But are those natural valleys or were the tree cleared out years ago. Just find it interesting how the dense the forest is around the land.
Now thats one Big ass ffng rock Holly mamba wamba

Excellent as always!
... I was wondering when Sr would show up on something...??? Rick Bork... Drama...?? No Way...!!!
Don’t care if that rock was sandstone and not granite. It was BIG!
Why not just bury the large rocks a little deeper where they were located? It would not require as large of equipment, eliminate a dip in the field and reduce the the obstruction in the forest.
That big ass rock would look great at your place with your rock crusher sitting on top of it….
🚜 🚜 😀
I may be biased, but John Deere sounds better to me. When it's running you know work is being done.
Would have been good to see how the plough went over the filled in hole just a thought
4:00 should be doing edge rows on his way back?
Toby do you have any idea how old these large sandstone rocks are? Or what geological era they might be in? Just very curious :)
Does a toothed coulter like the two bottom on the M has work better than a smooth one?
They work really well in fodder.
Hey brother i hope you're in good health and good spirits. Couple questions, what type of old mini excavator is that? And what are you guys planting up there this time of year?. Love to see that old iron doing its thing!
So is that a 'glacial deposit' or is it in situ due to the local geology?
I can see how they built Stone henge now.
Rick must be serious if he won't take time to flip you off.
How's the eye?
I really dont understand why the didnt plow both ways instead of driving all the way back without plowing
Is that 756 a gasser? I can't imagine its thirst
Whatcha gonna plant ha ha.
