Out of the 100's of times i have watched Travis do a double back flip, i still get goosebumps each time.
Beaztown I know, it's the atmosphere I think . . . But also his technique is really odd on this one and it looks funky but I can't quite describe it.
This man is a gosh damn legend. Everyone that follows fmx loves this man.

I remember watching this on TV as a kid and it was mind bending back then seeing him land it perfect. X games literally hasn’t been the X games with out moto x best trick.
Although he’s my favorite, it’s almost like having a cheat code as your favorite rider because so many tricks would still be in beginning stages without him (imo)

I remember watching this long ago actually is one of the coolest trick I ever seen on a bike. Travis is the best in this bussiness.

This days any one can pull a doble backflip, a 900 in skate, brusco did a 1260 the other day, but nothing compares to the feeling and axiety to see pastrana, the hero doing it for the first time, nothing will be like that, almost 15 years have passed and still an awesome moment
Travis is such a BADASS
Tony's 900 will always be the greatest moment in X Games history but this is right up there with it. Unbelievable stuff.

I was about 11-12 years old when Travis did the double, I remember watching it live in my living holding a pillow terrified and when he stomped it I lost my mind, not much in life has compared to that feeling it was insane and still to this day gives me goose bumps

34 years old...9/11 was burned into my mind, and so was the day Travis landed the double backflip! I was watching in my parents kitchen on a 13 in tube tv. It was insane!

After the millions of times I watched it, still get goosebumps and it's looks so weird and kind of fake, I've ridden mx for 15 years from 50cc to 450cc and I just can't even imagine how he does it, I know it's real, he's my hero but just to comprehend this, especially if your a mx guy, it looks so weird because it's just unreal that he did this, I remember playing video games mx VS atv unleashed and the double backflip was so fun and me and my friends just couldn't believe travis did this, the triple backflip was also possible on the game and we said it's freaking impossible, we did a bet, 4 out of 5 said it would never be done, best 5 euro I lost when I saw it done, these guys are awesome and I have travis his autograph from nitro live in Antwerpen and its my most precious item. He's my hero #199
He was just on Johnny Knoxvilles pod and was talking about this day. He didnt necessarily plan to do it. He had 3rd place wrapped. But he plaued rock, paper, scissors with a friend a few minutes before. If he lost he had to do it. He lost, he did it.
Every time I watch this and hear Sal say: “There was no hidden footage of him doing this.” I just laugh because of the fact both rounds of the multiple attempts TP did in Spokane In 05 were on Nitro 3. So to say there “Wasn’t any footage” is just hilarious to me
