    This is just the refresher training I needed. I’m scalped, humichared, and feed. Just waiting to cut again. I’ll attempt my first sand leveling in a few weeks. Soooo excited. Thanks Doc. You’ve helped make my lawn amazing.

    PGF is the most amazing product out there. My lawn is already greening up this year, and last year I was getting compliments on it every day. I just wish you could buy 50 pound bags of PFG. But, yes, thios stuff is amazing

    Loving your channel! I have been a sub now for a couple of weeks. I have a brand new Bermuda sod lawn and I am following your advice. Wish I could have you stop by and see our new yard in winder, GA to give more advice. This sod was laid by our builder and I think it needs to be rolled. Again, great job. Love it!

      Keep it short short and you don’t have to bag. If you let it get too tall then you will have a boatload of clippings.

    I guess I’m one of the few that follows you but can’t do your process. Having 2 acres I don’t have the time or energy to walk a reel mower every 4 days. So that leaves a zero turn and that still takes a few hours then edging, weed whacking, etc. I like your plan and process but unrealistic for many large lot homeowners. Wish you have a process for those of us like this.

    Is it a good idea to level the lawn at my new house when my yard is mostly weeds. There's Bermuda under there, but lots of clover and crab grass. Should I work to make the Bermuda more prominent first before leveling?

    I have a Len that has Terrible drainage close to 50% of my lawn has standing water after I irrigate, my gardener would assess say the areas that dont grow grass is due to not watering enough, having since noticing water quantities is not the issue, the areas that grow patchy grass have standing water that won’t saturate into the soil. The gardener has since been replaced by myself and planning to aerate end of April. To supplement aerating could I use your super juice blend that you made to get the added soil needs I to the soil or should I use a dedicated clay mend or liquid aerator? From what I am understanding the most important thing is getting microbes and supplements into the soil. My second question is should I hold off on humichar until I get the saturation issue mended or will humichar still be able to work it’s way down into the soil? Thank you for your videos they have made this project much easier thus far.

    What are your thoughts on liquid humic and liquid carbon vs or related to the humichar? I have been using the humichar for a couple years, just wondering if it would be beneficial to supplement with the liquid as well.

      He said he’s going to fertilize after leveling. That way he doesn’t run the risk of the fertilizer moving. He is putting humi-char down before leveling.

    Hey Doc. LOVE your channel. So helpful. Question...I have two areas in the back near my house patio that do not get nearly as much sunlight. Tiftuf Bermuda in thick clay and stays wet for a long time, especially this past winter. Those areas are still completely brown and very very light with any of last years grass showing. Very bare. I plan to aerate as soon as we get some rain to soften the sod (very hard clay right now). Sod is 3 years old. This is my first year with a California Trimmer. Do you think the Bermuda will still rise from the ashes this year in that area? Or would I need sod replacement in that area as now that I can cut it much lower with the new reel mower? Raleigh North Carolina. Thanks!

    • @Thomas-Chophouse
      @Thomas-Chophouse 3 года назад

      I’m in Raleigh and have similar areas in back that just don’t get proper sunlight. Each year they get weaker. Not much you can do but baby it or turn it into a flower bed. Those areas get early morning sunlight and a bit around sunset but stays pretty thin.

    • @derontucker7173
      @derontucker7173 3 года назад +1

      I said Biochar. I mean the bag you showed, Humichar.... I asked for that specific bag. But was given the CharX.... it says it’s for 40k sq ft... I’ve used the whole bag, I have about 4K sq ft... put it all out over the last 4 weeks... also I use another fertilizer, 15-5-10 which is super close to PGF complete, it’s by Anderson as well... yet it’s made for “Texas lawns” Bermuda specifically.

    Doc, how do you deal with shaded areas ? My Bermuda grass only gets 3-4 hours of sun per day and is shaded by tall pines on two borders. Been thinking about replacing with Zoysia Palisades ? Any thoughts ?

    • @mibz1117
      @mibz1117 3 года назад

      Do it ! Only cure for bermuda in shade is a chainsaw or replacing it with zoysia. It will never look great if Bermuda doesnt receive at least 8 ÷ hours of direct sunlight. One side of my house the Bermuda gets only 5 hours of sunlight and has always looked like crap.

    • @mibz1117

      Start improving your soil, & scalp. My neighbors dormant Bermuda just started showing green while mine is 100% green. But his is almost 2 inch of dormant..sunlight can’t get into the soil so much slower to respond. I would put down PGF complete and get it short if it’s not
