Railway Roundabout - Two Caledonian Pickersgill Bogies - Perth to Aviemore

  • Two Caledonian Railway 72 Class 4-4-0s (Pickersgill Bogies) take a train from Perth to Aviemore. Followed by the Railway Roundabout team.
    In the late 1950s and early 1960s, the BBC broadcast a series of TV programmes featuring line which proved to be on the point of closure and locomotives about to disappear forever.
    This film footage has been transformed by Ian Allan and is now available as live separate Railway Roundabout videos all recreating the lost age of steam!
    All footage belongs to their rightful owners, I own nothing.

      SteamGent the DVD’s appear to be simply an earlier video tape compilation on a more up to date format. These do deserve to be released in the original format , cleaned up

      @@NCR5309 its my understanding from recent research that the BBC didn't save the audio only the films. Either way the collection is presumably in the NRM for safe keeping.

      @@evanrichmon4994 that would be a nice new build. I can't wait to see the George the Fifth completed. Now if only another group would build Johnsons Midland Belpaire 3P.....

      Yes, it is my goal to make every Caledonian Railway engine every produced in TS.

    Nice one Kris I guess these will be on the Caladonian collection in Train Sim wish I could have the Cali engines for free you know so I can drive them on the West Of Lines of Scotland between Stranrare town to Castle Douglas
