When the fireman starts shoveling coal, the smoke will go black & when the shoveling stops, the smoke will slowly start fading back to a light grey. This is all a work in progress of course. I think that they where made by Crosby in the United States.
Sounds like the a4 whistle in plunge into the scraopy
Do you know when the pets gonna be out?
I can see how they were mistaken for air raid sirens.
Sounds fantastic! Can’t wait for the release
wow incredible hope to hear different whistle variants like Mallards whistle or Gresley's Whistle
Lovely
🏴 Such a beautiful engine. ❤️ No wonder Hornby made this into a OO model. 👍
It was Triang who made the model in 1963. Just got renamed Triang-Hornby and later Hornby, but the tooling and toolmakers skills were all Triang from Margate and remained so until the tools were sent to the China factory for the most recent production.
Oh how I would have loved to have seen No. 123 in action, especially when she was double-heading with LSWR T9 no. 120. She is such a beautiful engine!
Wow
Just goes to show, just because something is outdated, it doesn’t mean it’s useless.
Have you any highland railway footage 😊
Lovely idea - a lad in Victorian times could have had a lot of fun! (so long as you were not caught!)
The Caley Single was the last operational 'Single' locomotive to operate on the network. The LMS used it to haul inspection/directors saloons on the LMS section of Scotland's railways. It was in operational service until 1933.
These were so gorgeous in their original Caledonian blue. @0:52 @3:44 @5:00
no way!
Looks amazing Kris! Can't wait to grab a hold of this one.
Do you know when this will be ready?
Nope, it will be ready when its ready. Hopefully “soon”.
Cracking work by all involved!
Oh yeah it's LSWR time.
ITS THE S15!!
Its actually a Urie N15
@@Thekris0927 oops sorry
So neat to see the Big Boy running 😎😀
so this is what we had before caledonia works i see
I remember when I saw this a little bit farther up in dupo. It was awesome getting to see such a mammoth of a locomotive back in operation
One wheel Locomotive nice rare footage btw
Eight wheels on the locomotive. Only two powered. Single powered axle though despite the common mistake of calling it a single wheeler.

Sowe 13 running doubt headed with T9 wen I was a child. Was it at Croydon? 123 had it's coal painted white!
It reminds me of Edward my favorite character
Where is this engine today?
Sadly stuck in the riverside museum in Glasgow
love the caledonian locos, just so creative. thanks for the video old chap. keep it up kris.
Leave it to the Scots to accidentally make something better than intended.
lovely, love victorian era steam locos, so uniqe
NOT Rare - it's on RUclips for anyone to see.
My Christmas present, in about 1968
I love her fancy design, her best atractive to me are here big wheels.
Today it is Very Rare to see a Big Single loco in action!! Beautiful Machine!!!! 1964 that was 57 years ago, i was born in 1964.
Mechanical Monster.....
Lovely . I’ve seen plenty of pictures of the Caley 123 but never a video. Nice to see her running . I still see her in the Glasgow Riverside museum but nothing beats her running . Nice to see Callendar too
Omg Awesome 🤩 What a Slice of History 👍🏻
4014 is an impressive beast, bet you enjoyed that!
That’s a big ol big ol
Neat
This is basically a single driver version of a contemporary Drummond 4-4-0. So there would be no question of it not running well. With light loads singles have advantages over coupled engines, and the last ones designed for a British railway entered service 15 years after no.123. I very much doubt if it was designed just to be a static exhibit as it would have cost the wages of a skilled man for 25 year, the equivalent of a million pounds in today's money.
Are you counting the LSWR C14 2-2-0 tanks as singles? I feel that they would be the last actually built but whether to factor them or not is beyond me.
No, I'm thinking of the GCR Class13, which came out in 1900. Also the Midland and the GWR both built single driver expresses up to 1899. The C14s were more like steam railcar engines built separately from the coach portion.
I’m going to visit this on Sunday at the rail museum here in Glasgow.
Amazing how that loco was just meant to be a show piece, yet succeeded in hauling trains :)
Imagine you're at a station, waiting on the platform for you're train, then you notice that a single wheeler is pulling it
I must say, for someone who isn't a big fan of Victorian Era steam locos, it looks wonderful. Backed up by the fact it was better than intended to be.
Wow! I was surprised to see 123 pushing the stock into Callander sidings. She had beautifully etched thistles on her front buffers which the Scottish region staff were very precious about preventing them being damaged( she was always at the head of doubleheaders) However the etchings were badly damaged after a railtour in England so I guess this was after that.
Reminds me of Tweety and Sylvester Mayhem Express.
This game is an absolute masterpiece I'm looking forward to seeing what else the developers create, thanks for sharing the gameplay!
