- Todays iPhone tutorial will teach you how to remove beta software from iPhone and iPad. Removing the beta profile fixes possible issues when trying to update to full versions of iOS.
Notes:
Depending on what version of iOS or iPadOS you had installed prior to installing the iOS 17 beta, you will need to follow one of 2 steps.
iOS 16.4, iPadOS 16.4 or newer - You will turn off Beta updates from Settings - General - Software Updates. You then want to restore your backup that you hopefully saved prior to installing iOS 17 beta. Otherwise you will not be able to revert back to iOS 16.4 and you will have to wait for the full version of iOS 17 to be released. Today we are demonstrating how to remove iOS 17 beta from iPhone but it is the same process for all iOS betas and iPads
iOS 16.3, iPadOS 16.3 or older - You will remove the beta profile from Settings - General - VPN & Device Management. From here you will tap on your beta profile and tap remove profile. You then can restore from a previous backup to revert back or wait for the full version of iOS 17 to be released.
Hopefully this short tutorial taught you how to remove beta software from iPad and iPhone. If you had any issues or questions be sure to leave a comment and I will do my best to troubleshoot the issue.

i have iphone x which has ios17 beta and i don't have the option in vpn and device management what sould i do?
Hi. I didnt run a back up. Is that why there is not beta profile when i click vpn and device management?
No, usually if there isn’t a beta profile you don’t have a beta. However if you had a later version of iOS 16 when you installed the beta the only option is to turn it off in the update setting. Rolling back to iOS 16 isn’t easy after, you would have to restore from a previous backup
Same here No beta profile under VPN and DM. Early this morning I updated to iOS 17 when I saw it pop up to do so. Is it why I’m seeing a beta profile?
Same here; I spent hours with Apple Support, not even they know how to get this done. I have no BETA profile under VPN. I have clicked the BETA automatic installation off, and all installations and I even HAVE factory reset my iPad TWICE without installing backup; I started from SCRATCH; guess what? I still have the 17.4 IOS. Apple is not able to get this sorted out. I am stuck with the beta version. Because of that Zoom and Google Meet are not working properly. I am running out of patience. Today I will try to factory reset my iPad again, but this time using iTunes on an iMac.
I also had the same problem
How do I get this new update off my iPhone it’s draining my battery 🪫 outta nowhere.
Settings, general, software update and then turn off beta updates. When the next update comes out, you will have the standard full version. Only other option I know of is to reset the iPhone but make sure you back up everything first,
I tried it and it didn’t work 😢😢😢😢
I need help
is it possible to remove the beta update optin?
Unfortunately other then restoring the phone from a backup or resetting and deleting everything, it doesn’t look like there is a way
My 13 pro max phone does not have that under vpn. 😔
Same here
My 15 pro max also not have 😂
please a tutorial on how to do it with backup
Hi i have iphone xr and still not received new update i have iso 17 developer do you think shall I wait or i need reinstall ?
Try restarting the iPhone but the developer betas might cause a problem. Turn off developer beta updates and see if you can remove the profile.
i have done it with the backup, and i am still stuck in the beta
How get rid of sos on your screen I have a problem with mine right now
Hi , i have iPhone X but updating iOS 16 it’s not working , what can I do please!!!
This is a beta, you should update the normal way. If it’s not working normally I need more information as to what happens when you try.
If I just stop Beta Updates, what is going to happen? Will i get the next Update when normal iOS 17 launches? Will my phone have a outdated OS until it releases? Weird
You will continue with the beta you have until the next normal iOS update is avalable.
Excuse me sir I hv a question
Is iOS beta is safe or stable for my iPhone 12 pro mx
This is a beta, you should not install betas if you are worried about stability. Betas tend to have bugs and glitches. You should just update normally, iOS 17 is available for the iPhone 12 I have videos on my channel if you are looking for a tutorial.
Mine has nothing at all in vpn or device management i want all beta off my phone can you help not just beat updates off want it gone from phone nothing at all in vpn or device for me
Running ios 17.2 now NEVER USE A BETA PROFILE FOLKS crap
You did at some point to get to that. If you go to settings, general and software updates you will see if beta is on or off.
How do I back up all my data first
You can use iCloud, connect to a pc or Mac and backup with iTunes or the Mac software. You can transfer files via AirDrop or email etc. if you need instructions, look it up on RUclips for a recent video as mine is a little bit outdated.
good to see you back man its been a while.
Yeah it gets slow when Apple doesn’t release much lol a lot coming though!
@@DHTV can’t wait 😛
how do i delete this off please help me
Before you installed the beta, you would have needed to save a backup to revert to. If you didn't create a backup then you are pretty much stuck with this until the full version is released.
If that is the case you really need to update the misleading title of your video 🤨..(this video doesn't show how to "remove" anything🤨)
@@TheRTM I done a backup and it still went back to beta - just click bait!
@@sebbychn 💯
I don’t see it can’t delete
You can turn it off then
I don’t see it under VPN area either …… I turned mine off … but is there a way to delete it from phone ??? Also .. my husband doesn’t have the beta and his iPhone is updated to 17.2 or .3 and I’m only under 17.1
Turn off the beta and then you should start receiving the real updates
Straight to the point absolutely love it keep up the good work ❤
Thanks so glad the video helped
You didn't even explain for to remove pointless video. Only thing you said is how to stop it from updating the beta 👎🏽
You didn’t watch it he whole video then. As I mentioned in the video all you can do now is turn off the beta updates or if you have older betas, remove the beta profile. I then mention to roll back to the previous iOS you have to restore the iPhone. Doing this either with a backup or erasing the iPhone and restoring it to iOS 16.
I know same here, pointless and before you try getting sarci with me I WATCHED your pointless video!
No, it really didn't help. Anyone. Why the fck would you post a video about switching an option from "On" to "Off" 😂
