  • In this video, I show you the camera settings I use on my Panasonic GH5. I take you step by step through how I set up the menus. Also, even if you don't have a Panasonic GH5, you can probably still get quite a bit out of this video as many settings can be applied to other cameras as well.

Hi Reinhard! Could you please share your RUclips rendering settings please? Your video is so crisp! I edit with Davinci Resolve, thanks man

Thanks man! I don't know Davinci, I edit my videos in Premiere Pro. Well usually I use my Sigma 18-35mm which is a very sharp lens, I film in 4k, edit in 4k and export in 4k.

How U have in Video M Mode Picture mode in rec? Mine isn't available and all I need is to shoot video with my custom settings and take photos on same time by interrupting the video for a sec to get the pic I want and continue filming

What I did in this video is, that I was first in any photo mode for example M and changed the photo style in the first tab for photos. Then I changed to Video M mode and changed the photo style in the second tab for video. Hope that helps.

How can I save my current settings as a custom set? I don’t want to loose my current settings so if I just change the dial to c3 and click save it says it will replace the current settings but I don’t want to loose the settings I have on my gh5 now.
Also I thought I saw a video on how to create my own name for the custom setting so I could get back to those settings. How do I do that?
    Thanks for any help.

Hi Gayle! To be honest I have never used C1-C3 on the dial because of things like saved white balance and because I have quick function buttons for everything I want to change quickly.
You can just save (overwrite) your current settings to C1, C2 or C3 and then change the settings and save them to one of the other two.

Why would you change your photo resolution to 3:2? You're literally taking away from the maximum quality of the camera. You lose 2MP. I'm just curious why.

The reason is that I just prefer the wider aspect ratio of 3:2 and most cameras have a 3:2 aspect ratio and not 4:3. But as I shoot raw I still get the full image, it is just how it is displayed and I can crop in post as I wish (or uncrop and keep the complete 4:3 image).
