The coolest iteration of Kensou in the whole series. The entire Psycho soldier team was so nice in 13.
Right, they was definitely top 10 or 5 dangerous default team alone because of the 180° route they went with both Kensou & Chin.
This is actually Kensou's original costume in Psycho Soldier game by SNK.
And you're right, storywise, this is the best iteration of Kensou.

You've said it. I wasn't much of a Psycho Soldiers team user throughout KOF history, but XIII was where I really enjoyed using them. This was definitely the best versions of Chin and Kensou.
This & XIV is the strongest versions of Chin,@@tcchip. But not the best. Btw 97', up to 02' was super dangerous tactic & options wise.
Don't let these cool combos distract you from the fact that Kensou reads shojou manga

He is cool, but i dont believe he is good enough for dlc material. He was removed from the roster probably because SNK really wanted to try more different things in this game, and that involves removing some veterans like him to make more room in the roster.
I don't agree with him not being good enough for the roaster,@@carlosaugusto9821. But they been removing characters from the rosters tip since actually 96'. I only noticed it Btw. 03' & XI with Andy first, then both him & Joe. & they made it known it was story related reasons why they didn't return for whatever year they got removed. Not taking away ya possible reason. Just that they added a storyline for it.

Been playing this guy since 94 let’s go team Psycho Soldier!
I didn't start with him until 95'. Mi team use to be Sie, Robert, & Terry(Long before I personally started naming mi teams). Only when 97' was out I realized he was better suitable for my 2nd main team(Ryo, Andy, Kensou). & I replaced mi main team with Kim Kaphwan.
He is cool but i only started liking his moveset after 97. And the melee form in 99 is very memorable.
@@DanKen139 I was pretty heavy on Psycho Soldier throughout the 90’s but would sprinkle in Daimon and Shingo.
That's pretty interesting options,@@coryharris1939. Especially if you had all 3 of them as a team.
I love the setup when they introduced it in 99',@@carlosaugusto9821. I love the story behind it even more. Hence, the awesomeness of his brother, Bao.

If they do a season 3 pack(Which I highly doubt), it be better if he came as a set, via team(Sie, Momoko, & Chin).
@@DanKen139 There are very small chances that SNK will make teams, as the dlc pack got smaller in the 2nd season. Its more likely that the 3rd season will keep solo chars and probably the same size of before. And there are parallel projects currently like Fatal Fury and others.
It might be too late from him now. I imagine the 3rd season will focus on the hottest remaining options for dlc... and honestly Kensou doesnt belong in that group.

I think because of Athena's XV prequel storyline of how she's apart of the Heroin Team is the reason they won't throw on Sie even IF they did a season 3 pass.

Kof 16 needs to be a blend of these graphics with 3D elements. Like, guilty gear
SNK will never make 2d/sprites again. They are too hard and expensive to be in this same quality. And the classic Neogeo graphics are unnacceptable today. The future is the 3d road, like all other famous franchises did: SF, MvC, MK, GG...
SNK just needs time to improve because they are behind the others in 3d skills. But theres nothing special about that... the early 3d MKs were also bad looking compared to the mainstream 3d fgs like TK, SE/SC, VF, etc. But the MK devs just kept going bit by bit and eventually reached a good level of 3d graphics, and even an impressive level nowadays.

@@DanKen139 I play Kensou on point, Leona on mid, and Robert on anchor. Though, I may drop Robert soon. He's just so meter hungry.... Maybe I'll pick up Kyo.
This game does male preference flexible @@nemoisnobody, so I don't blame you wanting to possibly switch up. I personally never worry about who's first, mid, & anchor though. As mi main objective with any of mi teams is to be equally skilled with all members of mi team so that no matter who I choose first, they're talking out all 3 of mi opponents.
Oh, & mi 2nd main team is Ryo, Andy, & Sie B-T-W. 😎

I wonder if they're gonna do combos involving his alcohol level, or just rock out with him during his default level. Either way, I'm looking forward to see what they do with Chin.

Kof frequently changes moveset and designs, much more than SF for example (that only started changing more lately). Even though that direction isnt very consistent but its still an overall higher level of changes compared to every other famous 2d fg.

@@carlosaugusto9821 ... that doesn't even explain anything on moveset changes and improvements for Kensou.
Nearly all of KoF characters had frequent changes pointing up to improvements both characteristic, gameplay and design styles throughout the years and rarely some of them would get an incredibly big overhaul aside of a few move changes, move nerfs or straight up taking or adding new supers, clothing is redundant but Ralf is still punching you with a grenade no matter in what dress you put him on, Kensou on the other hand was entirely all three of them which is huge.
They all hold a little bit of their old gameplay up to this point since the very KoF 95' and I've played them all, it's character evolution.
They evolved Kensou after a literal decade and in XIII they finally gave him a much serious and fresh style that would cover up a lot of his weaknesses like closeup jabbing instead of that weird ass stretch-forward-punching he had. They hinted out at Kensou having the typical "Hidden power hero that needed training to unlock his true potential" they did that in XIII which was something to be expected and realized by players.
Then they literally de-evolved him back from a Raichu to a Pikachu without a word.
It literally makes no sense, why even giving him an evolution to begin with.
I watch every combo vid so far and my mind was that I think it's cool but need 5 bars.
But his 2nd combo, I was waiting for him to use a super, but no, he just used his drive cancel until he was dizzy. 😮
For once I can see a combo that is more situational in the game ❤

Ship has sailed on active development of the game. They're not going to spend 18 months drawing new characters for the re-release of a game.

Yeah games like Blazblue, KOF 12 and 13, P4 Arena and etc have alot of dedication drawing sprites frame by frame and it's simply hell for the developers so that's why SNK used 3D it's cheaper and easier to use.

Xbox isn't highly known for fighting games on any of their consoles, sir. & they was aiming for limited purchase options for the game even on highly known fighting consoles.

Yeah but thats not rare in KoF history either. The roster is too big. Maybe that fact sounds worse about him because he is a KoF veteran since 94.
