- Straight's orderly life is thrown into disarray when Curved drips into his life. While Curved wants to bond with Straight, the latter tries to get rid of her as quickly as possible - a game of cat and mouse begins, a battle of geometries and opposites. Can Straight get back to his old life?

He was hostile when she was friendly. He was willing to submit and give things a chance until he saw a way out. Now that he's back to his 9-5 world he can't help but wonder if she'll ever come back/what could have been if he'd just accepted them.
There is a considerable sexual violence metaphor here that I refuse to unpack because I just _know_ it's going to piss someone off if I try to.

Everything in the world was made with Straight lines, until a new thing, the Curved lines, invaded it. Being afraid of the new and unknown, the first instincts is to get ride of it, but was it really a threat or an opportunity?
The deeper meaning could be that in a battle between straight and lgbtq, the straight will always emerge victorious 😅

A lot of the comments imply that this is about gender or sexuality, I am really not under the impression that this is the main point of the story. We have the protagonist, living according to a strict discipline (represented by his cubic design) and suppressing any desires or emotions (curve). However as these are part of human nature, they do come through - but he tries to fight them in attempt to maintain everything in his life under his control. This constant self suppression lead to his emotions eventually taking over, reminding him of the beautiful feeling of letting go for once. Eventually though, this new state of uncertainty frightens him and he flees himself into his old order again - just that now he can’t go back to that freedom, and feels like something is missing.
I feel like the emotional and natural part of himself was represented by a female character because women in art are generally associated with the beautiful, natural and desired, just think of nude paintings in flower fields and the like, they represent muses and creativity and emotionality and do not fit into a norm of rigid self control and rationality. So it’s a design choice to personify the accumulated protagonist’s human nature which he’s been trying to suppress with exaggerated female physique. It’s just a metaphore. How else would it make sense when he’s eating or entering the blob and his entire design changes? I think it’s representing that part of himself, and when he accepts it, it shows outwardly, too. Just my thoughts, different interpretation is of course possible
