Reposted this video because Barnabus' trombone was overmodulating in the first recording so I turned down the gain to reduce the distortion. He plays with such attack he overpowers the microphone if too close. Original view count on the first video was over 7,900.
Great tune by Max. It reminds a bit on "Salamanca Blues" by Shaye a couple of years before. It is recorded on their CD "Rag Band". It is in a slow tempo and it starts with the trombone too.
Thank you great video. Nice, smoothly touched, still likeable beautiful music thanks Tuba skinny & camera person for clear view, till then keep smiling with lol politely & safely jazz it with T.S
James, the video quality here is superb. You mention having a new camera. This video has a lovely soft light but also enough crisp detail to look natural. Shaye's solo starting at 2:48 is remarkable, and one of my favorites from her ever. It is sweet, reflective and measured, played with perfect control.
Thanks. I first used this camera last January at The Starlight Lounge, and I also used a separate PCM audio recorder then and in this video. The camera does extremely well in dim light, which was the case here and at The Starlight. The actual lighting was much dimmer than it appears in the video.
I first used this camera last January for the Tuba Skinny Starlight Lounge Sessions. What makes this camera good for what I do is its ability to record in low light. The Starlight Lounge videos were shot almost in the dark and these Frenchmen St. videos were dimly lit. What you see in the video is much brighter than what it actually looked like. The brighter the lighting the better the quality, so this session was a higher resolution than the Starlight sessions. On both occasions I also tried recording with my previous camera and the video was unusable.

You are so right about Shaye's solo!
Súper
Greatest band in the world
My favorite Tube Skinny song.
Nicely restrained lyrical blues with interesting (chord) changes .......
Venite in Italia....
Looks like James got a new camera. Resolution on my I pad is outstanding, as is the band of course.

Good old dependable Tuba Skinny! Pretty tune; did they get a new dog???
Barnabus got one to replace Tupelo.

@@JamesSterling Thanks for the info. Just curious why the band hasn't gotten another regular vocalist. Greg is great when he sings.
Great performance...but needs vocals for sure 🤔
