- It's the weekend of May 19th-21st and the vlog starts off with some yummy esquites or elote en vaso, a delicious Mexican street snack. I am fortunate to live close to one of the highest rated vendors for roasted corn, so I treat myself to one sometimes. Then, on Saturday morning, I made some doubles and Mom spoke about how doubles was when she was growing up. Kevin shared his review on my doubles and claims he won't buy doubles at home again 🤣🙈 (more work for me 😭)
I am counting my calories so I decided to skip the bara and eat only the channa with chutneys and it hit the spot! Later on, we took mom for some food and dessert. First, we took her to Bing Su for some mochinuts (mochi donuts) and bing su (Korean shaved ice/snow cone). Then I got some bubble tea and we picked up some lunch from Chung Wang BBQ to eat in the car. As if that wasn't enough, Kevin said I have to take my mom to 85 Degrees- a yummy Asian bakery! We got some more dessert and then headed back to my sister's place. To end it off, I spent Sunday with my mom and sister because we didn't get to celebrate Mother's Day.

Mom stories are so nice to hear. When you go trini you have to do a vlog with all the auntie telling stories about long ago.

To lose weight after having my baby, I found these great youtube exercise videos that were so easy to do. There is a guy called Get Fit with Rick and he does walking in place exercises that make me sweat but are not too hard. They are fast and easy. Only take around 15 minutes a day. Also, Burpee Girl, Grow with Jo, and Walk at Home are really good channels for easy fast exercises.

I do a indian/Pakistani twist to the roasted corn i find in cans or frozen ones in Costco or Sam's. Add tamarind chutney and chaat Masala and it's real yummy 😋
Sounds really yum! I don't recall ever trying chaat masala or maybe I did and forgot lol Now I'm on a mission to try it 😀
@@TasteofTrini You'll find it in most desi south asian stores. Pakistan made National brand is best but less likely available. Shan brand is ok but lacks a bit of tanginess. We use chaat masala for making things tangy and spicy at the same time... like on fruit chaat, dahi bhala/ vada (yogurt with lentil puffed ball) etc. It is sort of like Mexicans use tajin on fruits. But chaat masala has lot of different spices instead of just red chilli 🌶.
