The corn lady wasn’t greedy as she was not asking you for extra $1, I believe she just wanted a $1 bill as a souvenir or maybe something to show to her kids.. language barrier can be annoying. Anyway, enjoy your trip in Nepal
You might be right about her wanting just a souvenir for her kids. But from my travel experiences in different countries, I had poeple asking me for the same thing many times. Which makes me wonder if they do it all the time with any foreigners they meet. So, mine as well, this lady probably has seen many tourists before him and when she saw Davud's generosity she started to ask for 1 dollar bill, so maybe he will also give her 100 dollars like he did with the 1000 rupees instead of 40.
You could be right as well, but if she was really greedy or a scammer, she could have casually asked for more than 40 rupees(around 35 US cents) for the corn, but she didn’t. And I am pretty sure she really appreciated him for giving her a 1000 rupees($8-$9) as you could tell from her smile. Cheers.
Wow, this is incredible! Thank you so much for visiting our beautiful country and making a positive impact. It's heartwarming to see someone using their platform to help others. Your generosity and willingness to share your earnings are truly inspiring. Keep up the amazing work, and may your kindness continue to touch the lives of many. 🌟💙
1$ is probably 130 Nepalese rupees. You gave her 1000 already so I believe she was just trying to ask for a dollar as a different currency. I myself usually ask or exchange currencies with new people I meet and collect them.
Hey Davud, Lots of love from India. The corn lady wasn't greedy asking for money. As she might have not got a chance to travel outside of the country, she wanted to keep that as part of remembrance. She wanted to show others what a good customer she had met and also to show others how the dollar looks like.
It's very sad that you ran away davud. You should think that nepal is your own county, but please never scare with anyone. If you need to take help with the people around you, just speak up . I am very happy that you are traveling again from azarbaijan.
Hey davud glad to see u back in nepal. The corn lady didnt said she wanted a dollar but what she said was when u offered her a 1000 rupees she was happy and she said its only a dollar for u which u gave her which is not. But bro be sure she was happy enough that she may doesnt even make 1000 in 4-5 days. So no hard feelings bro. Enjoy ur time in Nepal. Jai nepal
Hey Davud, thanks for showing Nepalese Galli; I greatly appreciate it. I am confident that she, the corn-seller, asked $1 as a souvenir; please do not consider that as greed! I am sure that you can find so many good people there in Nepal. Also, I encourage you to try different flavors of MOMO, including veg and chicken, and try different places too - it looks like you like Buffalo Momo, so do not forget to try EVEREST Momo, the old Momo chain in Kathmandu. And please, I want to let you know that the water quality in KTM is not good (this is our unfortunate situation), try to get bottled water every time, except that you will be totally fine.
The lady who was selling corn was not asking for a extra dollor but she was asking for a dollor instead of Nepalese Rupees so that she can keep it safely to show it to her family.
Hay brother. That corn lady was actually not trying to get more money out of you. I had this same experience many times during my travel to India, where people used to ask me for 1 British pound coin or for 1 dollar bill. I guess they want to have it as a souvenir. On the other hand, it got me thinking if they ask this from every tourist, then they are just collecting more foreign money to have. Well, mine as well, it could also be the other option. Since this lady probably has seen many tourists before you, so when she saw your generosity she started to ask for 1 dollar bill, so that maybe you'd also give her 100 dollars like you did with the 1000 rupees instead of the 40.
Woman 👩 asked you $1 Actually it’s not begging 🙏 We use love to collect different countries currency 💷 💴 ❤ don’t think negative sir 🙏❤welcome to Nepal 🇳🇵 we respect 🫡 with visitors and Nepal is most safety and tourist attractions nice destination for visiting 🇳🇵🇳🇵🇳🇵
She wasn’t asking a dollar out of greed. She wanted to have one dollar just to keep it with her since she’s doesn’t have access to other currencies. She would have appreciated more if You rather collected the change and given her one dollar bill, she would have always kept that dollar in her purse and remembered you forever.
Welcome to Nepal for the second time. I have been following you for a long time. You are a true person. I always want to greet you in our country. Now I am looking at you from Malaysia thank you 🙏❤️
The corn lady wasn't greedy...she just wanted a dollar as a souvenir...may be she wanted to show it to her family... I know u supported a lot to the poor people but when u said greediness i was upset...she wasn't greedy my friend....
Davud, if you want a have a best momo you should visit a local shop which serves momo only .. Everest momo is the No 1 buff momo in Nepal which is since late 80s
Corn lady, She was probably saying its just for 1$. Who goonna ask 1$ when you are giving her 10$, probably 10 times 30 times the original price of corn.
