why do we say that for embeded projects the team needs little to no experience specially in cases where we take examples such as ATC which are clearly a massive task and the developer needs to be pretty experienced to tackle such a project?

Basic COCOMO (COst COnstructive MOdel):
Also known as COCOMO 81, it is the original model proposed by Barry Boehm in 1981.
Estimates software development effort based on the size of the project in lines of code.
Intermediate COCOMO:
An extension of the Basic COCOMO model that considers additional factors such as software complexity, personnel capability, and development environment.
Detailed COCOMO:
Further extends the Intermediate COCOMO model by incorporating more detailed factors like software reuse, documentation requirements, and the use of modern programming practices.
