Glad you resolved that issue. We had an issue up where I am similar to that. The next door lot did not have the mainline valve shut off and had been leaking for many years. Your problem was not as severe.

Was a breeze. We were ready for a worse case. Figured we had to rip up the whole house. Really glad we found tile and it was buried in gravel
that turned out well!
