- After the unexpected success of large SUV Cayenne, Porsche decided to continue with a smaller model - the Macan. Although for purists SUV and Porsche don't go well together in one sentence, all this prejudice goes out the window, the moment you start driving the Macan.

The buttons on the centre console are beautiful and remind you that you're driving something special.
I’ve driven mine for 5 years now. Over the years, I’ve upgraded the exhaust system, brakes and tuned the ECU. It has been an absolute joy!!! I’m not going to trade it in any time soon.

Having tested the Macan myself, and a first time driver of any Porsche I found the interior very easy to use. Although it looks like clutter, I found all the buttons were laid out where I would have expected them to be. All performance related buttons are near the side of you.

Rob Booth Automotive As long as you record the voiceovers under a blanket, you should be fine with what you have now. Just make sure you don't record them in an open room. As for the car, do you have some sort of lavalier mic?

the key is on the left for a reason...in most cases when having an accident that key moves in the driver`s leg

Whats wrong with having the key at the left side?? You get used to it pretty fast and it's a cool tradition.
+Naitsabes00 I suppose. In Land Rover Defender the key is on the other side, so that you can plough easily ;)
@@MarekDrives That's in part the difference between cars that were originally left- or right-hand drive. ALL Japanese cars have the key lock on the right-hand side (in right-hand drive vehicles, that is), but that doesn't imply 'sporty'.
Macan in indonesian, C is pronunce like C in Chili, not like C in Car mate.. but as always a great review from u

In Polish we would pronounce it "matzan", which is somewhat similar to someone feeling (as in touching) someone else.

But afterall, most people in us/eur surely will pronounce it "ma-kan", which in indonesian means Eat (not Tiger anymore) :)
@@HamirizaTriwardhana Interesting, and thank you for the info. I doubt that when I'm in a Porsche dealer, that they'd take my lead and start pronouncing it properly. Btw, How do Porsche dealers in Indonesia pronounce it? I guess it's like english- speakers saying "porsh" not "porsh-a". And all the english words that sound like they're being butchered by english- as-2nd- language speakers...
Sorry mate, but your review is very pompous. I drive a Macan S and it's probably, in fact definitely, the best car I've ever owned. I cannot fault the machine, comfort, performance, looks, just brilliant. And who cares about fuel economy when you can afford a beauty like this.

Depends how you want to drive it. The difference in handling between 18" and larger wheels for the same car is staggering. The taller the tire wall, the more lean there is on it in the corners.

Why don't you ask the dealer to let you try a car on 18" and 19" rims, and you can decide for yourself. If you want cornering speed, you want 20" or more. If you care about comfort 18" will be fine. If you have spend an extra 2k, maybe add a bit more and go for 20".
It's a better car than the new F pace and I'm sure it's better than the Levante. I guess the Jag is more practical but the base model is slow and the fast model is crazy expensive

Idea jest taka, że wcześniej można zajrzeć na www.wieruszewski.com, gdzie film jest wyświetlany jako unlisted. Potem o 15:00 powinienem móc zmienić status na publiczny przez apkę YT Studio. Nie siedzę cały czas pod kompem. Problem w tym, że mimo trzeciej już aktualizacji, ta funkcja nadal nie działa. Opisałem błąd, zobaczymy co z tym zrobią.
A kanał dwujęzyczny jest pokłosiem lepszej lub gorszej decyzji podjętej na początku. Rozdzielenie tego teraz byłoby równie dezorientujące. Mogę to ze 100% pewnością powiedzieć jako jutjuber ;)

This guy is too negative about the Macan. I own one and it has more exciting features comparable to a 911 and its brother the Cayenne, which, I also own. This vehicle performs better than the Audi, Teurig, and other suv's on the maeket. It is badass and love everything about the Macan!

This is a rebadged Audi Q5. The direct comparison are the larger engine models of this Audi model.Surprisingly Audi maybe the smart buy here !!!

+Marek Drives Agreed the Audi and Porsche are similar products as they share a common platform. The difference is a heavy price for the Porsche badge,running costs, and makeover. So why bother with building it in the first place say the Porsche Purists?? After all there are too many overpriced white elephants appealing to the very few people with money in a deep global recession already ?
peter jones As far as I'm concerned, Porsche could stick to 911, preferably no later than 993. However the Cayenne proved that there's a market for SUV/crossover Porsche, and Macan follows that trend. I've driven the Cayenne, and Macan, and they defy the laws of physics. The Macan may be expensive, but it feels like a Porsche. It may share many components with Q5, but overall it's a different animal.
+peter jones trust me, you can't compare the Macan with the Q5. The 2.0T Macan is way better than the 3.0T Q5.
I just drove a 2017 Macan base and a couple hours later a 2017 Q5 3.0. The Q5 3.0 will blow the doors off the Macan 2.0. The Q5 is roomier, more comfortable and practical. The Macan is sportier, funner to drive and has the Porsche wow factor. I'm going back to the Porsche dealer and drive the Macan S. One of the three I'll be ordering soon.
