Love my macan T -2023. Perfect for me and basically a GTS with a lower 0-60 with better banding and fuel efficiency. The T trim stands out on my metallic black. I optioned mine with all the bells and whistles. No regret with 4 cylinder vs 6. It’s a macan and love the day to day and sport capability. I live on Oahu so top speed doesn’t matter
The analog dash is the main reason I got the 2023 Macan S. Sad to see it gone on the Cayenne. Previously had the base level SQ5 for the analog gauge as well. Ironic the lower trim had the analog gauge.
Nice review! My dad got one of these yesterday. He previously had a diesel Macan but is very happy with the 2.0 in the T. He wanted a GTS but my mom shut that idea down fast!
Many thanks for this excellent review. I’m in the process of ordering the Macan T right now. The only thing I cannot decide on is whether to get the PSE or not. What do you think? Is it worth it?
Only Porsche could possibly make a slightly up tuned GTI engine actually sound pretty good! Would still like to see the big 2.5L 4 banger in this trim over the base, they offer 3 engines in the Cayman, why not this model too?
@@AV-sf5xq I see, this makes total sense now, after looking it up even the base 2.0L for each are different layout. They simply don't make an inline layout mid power engine, while for the flat engines in the Cayman they have 3 different size engines...Thanks for actually answering my question!
Yea I love the analog gauges....left BMW and MB for good...simply because the infotainment system took over the aesthetic design of the interiors....I sincerely hope the new Cayenne dash stays in the Cayenne.
Hi, I have a question, do you have a complete exhaust system on your car or just the terminals? Can you give me the real consumption? Thanks, nice video.
You would think that as a performance brand, the vehicle should at least offer 300hp. I mean, it's using the EA888 engine that's also found in the 315hp Golf R.
But is it a detuned Golf R or slightly up tuned GTI engine? While all three are 2.0L, we only know for sure the Golf R engine has slightly beefed up internals. My guess it's a slightly tuned GTI version... But I agree, they should have offered the big four banger like they do with the Cayman on the step up from base trim.
@@layne4376 the Germans are known for basically using power at the wheels for their ratings while still calling it "brake horsepower" (at the crank). The GTI is rated for 241/273 and dyno'd at 243/278, at the wheels of course, but also on Regular fuel! LOL... But if Sam easily got 5.6 barely brake boosting it then C&D time of 5 flat, which also includes 1ft rollout, then indeed this is likely close to 300 at the wheels easily.
Buy a 2018 base (preferably with a year or two cpo left) ... analog buttons, about 35k USD now, with premium plus package. Perfectly enough to get an affordable Porsche experience before EV takes over the world.
I think that it's hilarious that Yuri from TheStraightPipes keeps getting butthurt that you're "stealing" his thumbnail style. Keep it up! Gimmick infringement isn't a real thing despite what they say or think.

At least Sam isn't photoshopping misleading thumbnails that completely alter the look of the vehicle. Yuri swears it's not click bait and yet they're the only RUclipsrs with access to manufacturer press vehicles that do it. It's disingenuous and a slap in the face to their competition like SavageGeese, etc.
@@333KINGPIN33 In my opinion, @TheStraightPipes went from one of the more entertaining and humble RUclips car reviewers in like 2018/2019 and then for whatever reason, they became insufferable. if the interior was not lagging behind the big boys like panamera, cayenne, I would definitely consider buying. but I don't like the idea of getting a brand new car with an outdated interior. and where is my ambient lighting? why don't they do what mercedes, bmw is doing on the inside of their cars?
OK, Macan T [261bhp/5.8s 0-60] = $66.6k USD . Macan S [375bhp/4.6s 0-60] = $72.3k USD. Unless you something believe the corning ability of the T is going to be worth it over the enormous power increase of the S, in a two ton vehicle.... just get the S IMO.
Dont forget some standard features too, like sport chrono. Also, T is considered as last special model in current generation by Porsche. Usually they hold better values.
LOL show me the receipt of you buying one. You know damn well this car is an a joke in the enthusiast car world. $56,000 for a 4151 lbs 261HP Volkswagen with a Porsche badge. I see only middle aged women driving 4 cylinder Macans.

Haha, T is no way near GTS, was that a joke.
But what about the suspension does the s and the gts have the same suspension ??
I have an Alfa, Romeo Stelvio that’s faster that with the same basic and almost half the price
Macan base and T is such a great porsch

Best review this far if Macan T. Amazing
That sounds is good
The sound audio is from outside the cabin, maybe a mic at the exhaust? Its much more muffled inside!
Impressive i love it 👍
Nice! Thank you
The exhaust sounds pretty good in the video, how is it loud in person with the valves open?
Definitely more like a golf r?
Thanks Sam - would you say the air suspension is a must have option to have a comfort ride or just PASM is fine and can rather save some money?
Hi Denny, I saw in another review the PASM rides great and the air ride is not necessary.
Only Porsche could possibly make a slightly up tuned GTI engine actually sound pretty good! Would still like to see the big 2.5L 4 banger in this trim over the base, they offer 3 engines in the Cayman, why not this model too?
Because it as an other engine layout (flat4 vs row4). They cayman Motor does not fit.

Awesome content. 🤗
Thank you
Very good 👍
Nice review
Amazing
sounds like my 1969 viva 2.0ltr
Hi Sam , I am undecided between this Macan T or the Defender 90 X Dynamic . They both work for me . What would you recommend between the two ? Thanks
Defender 90
the most selling Porsche in the World, Ka-Ching 😅

That’s stock it burbles
Nice
Damn i wish the Macans came with hybrids. 😢
Now they’re pretty much electric ugggh

They underate the power.Just like the accord 2.0t,it literally put out the number advertised to the wheels.
V nice
how do you compare it to the grecale GT
More space there, softer ride, feels more like an suv

Not the biggest fan of Palmolive Green.
Unfortunately, the new Cayenne has digital gauges.
Hate that
well it is Porsche’s golf, so why not give it the golf engine
Pdk issue

You lost me at 4 cylinder…
What's the 6 going to give you in ordinary life. 250hp+ is more than you'll use. If you want to fly, you need the 911.
He is an F1 driver
I don’t like that it doesn’t have a full digital screen. For the money it should have all the tech. But everyone is different
I like it because of that
I like the analog gauges on this.
Way under powered
