Much respect for posting this video! I looked everywhere for a way to do this for my Dj streams and other videos were too complicated. Thanks for simplifying, saved me spending more money on hardware 🙌🏼
Thanks a tonne for this vid mate. Been trying to figure out how to do automatic camera changes within obs. Never used the program before in my life. So it's all a bit overwhelming. Couldn't seem to find any other videos on how to do this. But this shows me exactly what to do. Thanks again 👍
Thank you so much for this. Streamlabs Obs gives you an option to use a remote on your phone but I wanted a automatic switcher on OBS. The guidelines here are straightforward
I’ve been using OBS and Advanced Scene Switcher plugin for a while You can also use a small bluetooth number pad to control hotkeys. Just put it next to your decks with the numbers mapped to what ever scene you like. You can still run auto scene switcher but you can force it to whichever camera or scene upon command. The number pad is easy to conceal remotely wherever is convenient for you. You can always add stickers over the numbers with whatever cam or scene it relates to so that you don’t have to remember (I’ve got 9 different scenes!) I like to add a scene outside of the Scene switch ‘loop’ then hotkey it so that I can choose that scene whilst I go to the loo or do something off camera. Then when I return I can hit any of the hotkey numbers to a scene ‘within’ the loop and it continues looping from there Going further you can hotkey a number on the pad to your main camera angle and keep that outside the loop as a ‘duplicate’ . Then it goes to that camera or scene on demand, and stays there until you hotkey back into the loop In the StreamLabs alternative to OBS they have a very slick app available to switch scenes remotely, that you can use from your phone. Not sure if they have an auto scene switcher in StreamLabs OBS but it may be an easier platform for some to use than the regular OBS Hope that helps someone - Graham
Awesome video! Super helpful, I stream content that requires a hand cam but the way my setup is I end up turning away from my primary face cam and this helped me understand what I needed to make it so I can switch between facecam camera angles to improve the viewer experience!
Thanks for this video and all of the other streaming tutorials (especially the Rekordbox hack). I've been doing happy/uk hardcore and Drum N Bass streams every other day and it's all thanks to you with these streaming tutorials. They're going really well by the way and everyone seems to like them.
I will use it in my podcast (completely online) and at a certain point I will play a game with the guest and I want to switch between my gameplay and his every 5 or 3 minutes, I will do some tests here and come back to report the result . Thank you from Brazil. (if I wrote something wrong it's google translator's fault)
Thanks for the tip on cam switching, you explain things very well. Question, is there a way to have stream deck start and stop the screen switch? Im new to both OBS Studio and Stream Deck and just curious.
Thank you very much for this work! Please, does this program also work on Streamlabs? If not, do you know how to tell me how to do the same automatic change in streamlabs? Thanks!
Thanks for the video ! By any chance, do you know how to remove lag when switching between angles? My obs seems to stutter when switching through the camera angles
Excellent info. Thanks so much. I see that your graphics stay on-screen regardless of whether camera 1 or camera 2 is up. I'm planning a two-camera stream with about 50 graphics (lower-thirds and full-screen images). Do I need to build each camera scene with all of those 50 graphics so that I can switch graphics on the fly no matter which camera is up?
However it seems at around 8:30 you mention sequence 1 - 2 - 3 etc. I would encourage anyone to instead use the random feature in adv switcher since a sequence is VERY boring. Additionally, there is the matter of # of cameras that can be supported. Generally usb cameras can tend to conflict and not work for more than 2 or 3 cams, especially if they are the same brand, or if windows, their driver is not built to support multiple devices. Best to have different cam brands.
We have a thing we would like to do in our org in the game star citizen. Lets say we all broadcast on our local computers with OBS, with game sound and microphone sound. Can you then send all signals to a server running obs studio? And only auto focus the view on the one talking? Like a live RedTeam standing by star wars stream
Big up for the tips, exactly what i was looking for. My OBS was having issues seeing the advance scene switcher in the tools menu, but worked after i restarted my Mac. Worth noting if anyone gets the same. Running OBS 24.0.6
Many thanks for the tutorial... I have a total of 5 screens, as explained I have set all my scenes to go round in this sequence 1-2, 2-3, 3-4, 4-5, 5-1, all fade transitions but it didn’t seem to work when I went live yesterday, can you offer any other advice where I could potentially of gone wrong?
Can you hot key between active and inactive setting for the advance camera switcher. So I can have one camera focus at the touch of a button at points in the stream?
I have a datavideo switcher that connects to my computer with an hdmi cable... I can't seem to get my obs program to recognize the switcher ...can you give meca step by step.. already put in ndi..
I have a Question so i have obs open 2 times, and when i hit my hotkey for a scene switch it switches the scene in both obs how can i make it so that the Scene switch only happens on one of the open obs ?
PLEASE HELP!! I've downloaded everything I needed to, found all the proper files, copied it into the proper folders, restarted the program.. didn't work.. Restarted the computer. Didn't work. The only thing it did was give an extra option in Tools but it's all jumbled letters and numbers. Whenever I click on it it just comes up with a vague error message.
You can actually auto switch cameras without touching a damn thing lol. Google “advanced scene switcher” its a plug-in for OBS. my camera scenes auto change every 10 secs by themselves. But this is a decent beginner tutorial 👍🏼
Can the hotkey override the auto scene switcher? If scene switcher was on scene 3 and going next to scene 4 can a hotkey go to scene 1 instead and then the loop starts again from there.

It's covered in this video :)
Very interesting.
I have a question: It is possible to use one key on DJ controller for switch the camera?
Unfortunately not yet, it is slightly possible but when we looked into it there was a LOT of coding which requires a bit of skill!
Big up for the tips, exactly what i was looking for. My OBS was having issues seeing the advance scene switcher in the tools menu, but worked after i restarted my Mac. Worth noting if anyone gets the same. Running OBS 24.0.6

What do you need for adding multiple cams to your laptop? A certain external card or can you plug anything into it?
you can plug anything webcam with a usb in, unless its a dlsr camera (actual film camera) then you will need extra cables and device
Do you use the same computer to dj and live stream???
OBS Gold info !
All done now mate I did it
Thanks mate
Hi! I've done exactly what you said but OBS is not recognizing the plugin. Any thoughts?
I have a datavideo switcher that connects to my computer with an hdmi cable... I can't seem to get my obs program to recognize the switcher ...can you give meca step by step.. already put in ndi..
big thanks! )
Then add to Elgato stream deck.
OBS chokes having the same camera on multiple scenes. How do you fix that?
I have a Question so i have obs open 2 times, and when i hit my hotkey for a scene switch it switches the scene in both obs how can i make it so that the Scene switch only happens on one of the open obs ?
Hello please help. I have a problem with obs it does not detect my audio device (mixer)
PLEASE HELP!! I've downloaded everything I needed to, found all the proper files, copied it into the proper folders, restarted the program.. didn't work.. Restarted the computer. Didn't work. Can you use an Elgato stream deck to quickly switch between the cameras?
You sure can, it's a great way to do things!
Is this the same setup for windows
You can actually auto switch cameras without touching a damn thing lol. Google “advanced scene switcher” its a plug-in for OBS. my camera scenes auto change every 10 secs by themselves. But this is a decent beginner tutorial 👍🏼
Update: Toward the middle i see you mention it already. Good stuff 👍🏼

i don't understand. I have 3 cams and the volume down or up between cam
is it possible to setup an OBS midi mapping to switch scenes with same controller?
The short answer is no, but we have been working on it!
Thank yewwwwwwwww!
I have the reloop Beatmix 4 and the Pioneer DDJ 400. I need to sell one, which should i sell van anyone give me some advice. Thanks
I’m using MAC and when I press go to download it takes me to another page where there is no zip for macOS . What am I doing wrong here ? 😂
Can the hotkey override the auto scene switcher? If scene switcher was on scene 3 and going next to scene 4 can a hotkey go to scene 1 instead and then the loop starts again from there.
Yes that should work, the time limit set will still apply for that scene though
