This is the kind of storytelling that has been missing in the knife community. I am so tired of hearing about how cool the 87th Civivi button lock of the year is. Thanks Zac!
You always tell the stories behind knives and tools in an in depth, passionate way! The design and build process behind this project is so cool. Been eying the knife since it was revealed last year, may have to pull the trigger!
My brother had an Camaro SS. On his way to Pittsburgh from California, the radiator developed a small leak somewhere in the desert. He filled the radiator with Coors beer, which got him to the next town to fix the radiator. This was around 1974 or so. Great storytelling in this video.
I love the idea of the historic damascus, they keep the history alive today. I own the Tiger damascus and to my wallets demise, it most likely wont saty my only one. Hi from Germany by the way.
You know Zac, as a story teller, and pure "broadcaster", you are undeniably special. The writing, camera work, editing...it all comes together, but the fact is, you could probably sit in a studio and read cook books and I'd watch and listen. Thank you to the team for another great video. peace, K.
Amazing vid as always Zac.. Awesome story and very cool knife. I really wish I could afford one. I'm looking forward to see what else they do with the line.
Great video. It would be cool to dive into more knife topics. Like designers, steels, lock assemblies. It would be cool to see the history and evolution of knives. Great video
I had a 1968 Z28 Camaro it was a gas guzzling thing I’d beauty! It had a 750 double pumper holly carb. In a 302 high rise manifold with a rock crusher trans and a 488 posi track rearend. Gas was 35 cents a gallon.
This is absolutely history channel meet knife nerd and the production is very good. Your videos are very professional and any subject you bring up interesting. Quite surprising for a person who has no problem sleeping in a ditch to hitch hike 😁 thank you your videos are entertaining and informative.
That was such a well-produced video. I've always loved Boker, but I had no intention of getting this knife when I first saw it despite its gorgeous looks. However, you're making me want one pretty bad. Got me in the nostalgia feels. If you had done one of these for the "tank" knives, I think I could have been convinced to pick of one of those guys. Really good stuff bud! I'm super jealous that you get to put out great content like this, and I'm guessing that you probably get to walk away with one of puppies as well. You're a really lucky dude but deservedly so my man!
I know this is a bit off topic, but I see a lot of van related paraphernalia on the edges of your videos. If this is something your into, I would love to see some videos on it. There’s still a bunch of us out here who love our vans, especially the older ones.
As always well done. The sound of a 1969 Z28 Camaro with a full race cam is unforgettable. Very near the end of an era. Congratulations to Boker on their execution of a well researched design.
Your video is brilliant as always Zac. As for the knife.. love the idea. If I was a muscle car guy it would be must have but for the price I think you really need to love the Camaro. I really hope Boker continue to pursue this line, I’d love to see a knife blade forged from something in knife history itself.
Great video I own several off the Böker damast knives like The Tirpitz, 98k, P08, and even have a Leopard damast bottle owner an awesome talk subject when u open a beer at a party. Convinced my brothers to buy a tirpitz barlow and sherman damast knife as well. Loved your Solingen trip for blade hq but this video was even better!
Awesome stuff per usual. Is the guy that commented all the time about buttoning your top button still posting? 😅 I think it’s okay to do it, I’m just curious . lol
Great video, well presented, great history lesson.... I was in high school in the mid 70's...the parking lot had more of its fair of Cameros, 'Cudas, Chevelles, Mustangs, GTOs and RoadRunners.... if only I new then what I know now...
That’s what I‘ve been waiting for - oh yeesss! Had a discussion with Santa Claus about a month ago, but what does he know? I‘d better go with ZITW! This is crucial, got to have one! Thx!
Remember the term "Damascus" was made from one steel, during the process of making steel. In those days you had to make your own as there was nowhere to buy steel. During the process impurities would be introduced in the "cake batter" that created dendrites that gave Damascus it's distinctive look, but it was one steel. What has been lost are the impurities as the steel today is superbly made without imperfections. What we see today and erroneously refer to as "Damascus" is actually pattern welded steels, and San Mai jacketed core steels. The only thing lost about the Damascus process is making steel by hand in a crucible.
Thanks! The shirt is an old Dickies work shirt I had from a past mechanics job. They don’t make them like it anymore but they have similar work shirts on their site😁
I have the Sherman Tank Boker knife, has the most insane lock stick I've ever experienced. Everyone I've talked to who's gotten one of these overpriced wall ornaments has had the same experience. Seems the small handful of Boker knives I've bought have all had one issue or another, except for my $40 Kalishnakov, oddly enough. No thanks.
Great video Zac! However, I don't agree with the quality that Böker throws out, despite its long history. I had always some problems, across all price ranges! It's a shame, because the designs are often very great.
Special series Damascus and it’s a Boker Soligen knife not a Magnum or a Plus. Definitely spendy but I think the value is there if you want something unique and a little collectible.
The reason that they cannot reproduce those samurai and Damascus steels is that they are not following the original recipes correctly and left out the one vital component. Elemental magic. All the old swordsmiths were also Elemental magicians and were able to envoke the elemental spirits or stochion and attach them to the materials used.
The History channel meets knives. Love it! Awesome video Zach.👍🏼
Thanks man! Jamie is an editing wizard!
I love it when zac does a documentary style video.

These videos are some of the best I’ve ever seen. The quality, editing, story, guests, and more. Deserve WAYYYY more views.
Dude as Being a car and knife guy the video was fantastic!! Great video.
Glad you dig it!

They did Sherman tank and the Messerschmitt 109 Damascus too, as far as I know.
What a way to end my day at the firehouse! Great story guys! Keep em coming!
Ugg... Now I want a Boker.
I have too many knives, but always room for more.
Great video. It would be cool to dive into more knife topics. Like designers, steels, lock assemblies. It would be cool to see the history and evolution of knives. Great video
Every knife builds its own story as it's used. Very few have one before it comes out of the box.
Exactly!
I looove me some Damascus! It's not only pretty, there is also great hand-work in it.

I bought the ME109 and dont regret it . Bokers theme knives are amazing in concept and execution. Just beautiful.
They do such a great job with these historical knives!

Wow ! This is amazing ! Such rich history and what an artistic take ! Thanks for making this and sharing Zac!!!

My car was a Nova with an 8-track, but I would love to go back to 1969!
Yes! Go to 8track?
Best sounds ever came out of that 8-track while cruising in that Nova @@zacinthewild
Zach in the Wild live streams please 🙏
Great video Zac like actually next level for an overview/showcase!!
I love your editing and story telling man, excellent 🤌🤌🙌
Thanks this one was a ton of fun!

@@zacinthewild I was watching a video when the badge on the knife was referred to as the hotdog badge. Can you tell me what knife that is.?
Now we can complete dad's beast with the Boker 1969 flipper. Cheers Zac from Australia. Now can we do the bike's vid?
Great stories, great history lesson. Soon sold out knife, lol.
Love the idea and your presentation

Also ofcourse got the tiger knife and even have some pictures with it in front of an actual Tiger I!
Wish I knew you were here in Colorado I would have bought you a drink. Great video awesome knife!

I need this Harley Hat
Not sure if you are still reading comments, but you should do some storytelling for Vinwiki...
I need them to do one using materials from a 1970s Corvette Stingray.

For sure! If have to do 2-3 videos just to scratch the surface of the history and process. 👊💪
well done!
Thanks!
Thanks for the video Zac! Love the style of this one.
And I love the navy work shirt in the talking head shots, can I ask what it is?
Thanks! The shirt is an old Dickies work shirt I had from a past mechanics job. They don’t make them like it anymore but they have similar work shirts on their site😁
Dateline of knives 💯-

No but I’ll love it😁
I’ll like your comment.
Gorgeous knife, but about 200% over my max single knife budget. Cool video though.
I bought my first camaro for less than this blade😂
Whats going on with Fort Wild these days?
Update in the next few weeks👊
Kind of a strange gimmick. What's the connection, it really doesn't make any sense
Great video etc. but way over priced.
Wish it would be a mustang….
They might have something in the works…
@@zacinthewild I sure hope so, but the price tag is way too high either way
I didn't like my own comment
550 bucks for a Boker? Laughable.

First off: No, it's great!
