A predator is a predator and a victim is a victim. Doesn't matter the gender of the person, it's illegal and morally wrong.

According to a lot of people, no matter the gender, a woman can't be a predator towards boys (only if she's good looking though). It's absolutely sickening and vile if you read comments *under news reports where the woman is the predator towards boys.

The fact that people are saying “it’s a male victim and female pred, niccceee” is beyond sickening and I wish for them to never have kids if that’s what they truly think. • @sethra777
      @sethra777 18 дней назад +40

Agreed! With ALL those questions! Just as a bit of speculation, and as someone with a good couple of decades as a professional in public education, typically when allegations like these are made against a staff member, the first step is to suspend them. They're not allowed on any district property unless specifically invited by, like, the head of HR. This gives the district time to conduct an investigation and consult with district attorneys, report to authorities, etc., before taking final actions. This isn't a bad thing, necessarily, since it helps prevent false accusations and hearsay from ending someone's career. I remember one of my male teachers in a middle school who had discipline problems with one of his female students, so he called home and she got in trouble with her parents. She decided she was going to get revenge, and went to a counselor and reported that he had touched her inappropriately. The investigation uncovered her lies because junior high girls can't keep crap to themselves. So, his career and professional reputation were ultimately saved, but he was suspended without pay for two weeks while that investigation was going on. What I don't understand AT ALL is letting them resign. That's normally done when the district has cause to fire the employee, but they want to extend a little kindness and not ruin their chances of being hired somewhere else. If they're fired, NO district will pick them up. But if they resign, they can make up some b.s. story about why they had to leave before the end of the year that might sound plausible enough for a different district to take a chance on them. So, WHY would any school system want to set these people up to be able to stay in any industry where they will continue to have access to children???

Kids as young as 8 have phones these days and they are engrossed in them so it’s very easy to mask something like this. When the mum found out, she leapt into action which shows that, had they had any indication, they would have done something about it.

She got sentence to 3 years in jail and custody of the kid was awarded to the woman's parents - not the victims parents. She got parole and only did 1 1/2 years. For sure. There are a lot of cases where boys as young as 12 get their abuser pregnant and then end up straddled with child support.
The thing that many people don't recognize is that women don't abuse less, they simply tend to use more covert methods.
In this context almost exclusively men show up in Chris Hansen's sting, but way more women take advantage of their positions as daycare workers, teachers, etc.
The same applies to DV. Men might be more likely to beat someone to a pulp but women have higher stats in poisoning, assaulting a sleeping person, and pouring boiling water on their partners...
This isn't a competition. We need to be willing to stop ALL abuse and not pretend that the perceived frailty of women exempts them from having wickedness in their hearts.

Yeeeeeeep. SP commentary on this was one of the very first instances I had of being exposed to the idea that women predators are treated differently, as are their crimes and the survivors of their ab*ses. It's ALWAYS disgusted me, and I remember watching that episode in irritation, feeling like Kyle - "WTAF GUYS THIS IS AWFUL WHY AREN'T YOU TREATING THIS AS BAD?"
It's not that it went unnoticed, its that SP and Simpsons, dealing with this, were for us kids growing up at the time MORE than for any adults. The show did what it meant to do - it got us KIDS (and teens) watching to ask the questions like "why don't they think its as serious as for a girl child and male teacher?" and to see, through the absurdity and Kyle's responses to it, how MESSED UP adults and their decisions can be.
My mom didn't ban the Simpsons but DID ban South Park in the home until they got to the first of those seasons where they started to make commentary like that episode more obvious. Then she let us watch it as a means of starting conversations, and I learned a LOT that way. Fact is, the show was like a MUCH MORE inflammatory version of what Roal Dahl (The Twitches, Matilda, Wonka) did with his novels, mocking and questioning the adult world and perceptions. South Park took that and RAN with it, and because of that we were able to see the absurdity and nonsensicality of the way the crime got treated.
As a result, I expect there's more of us in comments today who understood inherently from that point on NOT TO TRUST ADULTS WHO EXPRESS THAT INTEREST IN US. And to question if friends engage in such relations.
I still think that episode was a master-stroke of education for the young on thinking more critically about certain things, esp. where societal norms and cultural considerations are involved.

No offence to Gen Z or my own Millennial generations but we often seem to be acting and feeling younger than our age, and I see a lot of videos by teachers where they're talking about their students like they've been gifted a roomful of new friends instead of a teacher-student relationship...and then there's the dangerous side of it, like this situation... What she did was completely inexcusable.
If anything you should all be more outraged. Because unlike older people who might be dating someone in their 20s, this is a legitimate crime.

Well he was convinced he was in love with her. When it finally broke, she was arrested. He waited for her until she finally got out of jail. He found out from someone else. He had been waiting for her for several years. So he went to her apartment , confessed his love, and she basically told him she used him because she was bored in her relationship. This crushed him. He turned to hars drugs and heavy alcohol use. He was in ans out of programs. No stable relationships. Talked down from multiole suicide attempts. She ruined his lide. So it kills me when people act like since young men are full of testosterone they are not vulnerable. Theyre still kids

I think some of the reluctance to view women as predators comes from the physical imbalance of power. Men are significantly stronger than even grown women, to say nothing of young girls, and the physical differences are frightening from a woman’s perspective.
What people don’t realize is that neither underage boys or underage girls have the mental capacity to give consent, and there is always a mental power imbalance even if physical strength isn’t part of the equation. The adults in the situation are manipulative, criminal, and mentally more powerful than their victims. Being a teacher in this position makes it even worse because that person holds an additional position of authority over the victim.
It doesn’t matter if you’re a man or a woman. As an adult, you automatically create a power imbalance that the victim will have to deal with for the rest of their lives. They will have to struggle with confused notions of authority and power in sexual situations without the maturity or experience beyond that of what their attacker provided.

Even if the boy did enjoy sleeping with an older woman in the moment can you imagine the emotional impact this is going to have on him? Rejection is hard enough as an adult. Imagine how an 11 year old is going to react to being told “I know that we’ve been touching and making out for the past few months and you think I’m your girlfriend but now I have to be the adult and cut all contact with you and be with my husband.” That’s something that will make a grown man spiral into depression. To do that to a child is cruel. And let’s be honest, the adult in this situation knew it would eventually have to end this way
