Spanish Ladies (Yankee Whalermen) by Black Irish Band

Sonora's Black Irish Band performs their version of the sea shanty- "Spanish Ladies" The band performs live at the historic Piper's Opera House in Virginia City ,Nevada on Saturday, May 25th, 2024.
James Dean Nelson takes the lead on this old original British Naval song, that was highjacked by whale men of Ameirca's East Coast back in 1835. The Black Irish Band is the only band that performs this version of this song with the American Yankee words. It was never that uncommon for countys at sea to barrow songs and make it their own, and such is the case here.
