Everyone having a transformation was very much a thing that started happening towards the end of the original run - for the entire first half it's really just Naruto, and occasionally a bad guy will pull out something similar. But once you get towards the end there's this transformation event horizon as more deep lore is uncovered and the broader world is fully introduced.

I love that all the characters and the same character using two or more different jutsus, has a different soundtrack, I got goosebumps, when I heard the tracks of Sasuke Naruto, Itachi, Orochimaru, Kabuto and etc, ah nostalgia, that this video is bringing me it's indescribable.

Oh my god all I’ve ever wanted was someone to react to the OG Naruto games!!! You guys have literally made my entire week! My friend had a Japanese play station 2 and we played this for hours! I personally feel like all the moves on here were so much more intricate then the current Naruto games. I’d be completely fine if they brought back the cut scenes like this and most of their specials are super unique

As the Naruto-verse is a really complex one, in order to simplify things a bit:
- Ninjas tend to work in squads of four. The first three characters shown: Naruto, Sasuke (the red-eyed guy who uses lightning techniques) and Sakura (the pink-haired girl who has a lot of strength), together with Kakashi (who you already know), are Team 7.
- Every three characters from 5:28 to 16:19 are other Hidden Leaf Village squads whose members are more or less of Naruto's age. Their respective senseis, which are older (like Kakashi for Team 7) are shown from 19:30 to 22:04 and, if you take a close look, all of these senseis wear the same vest (a chunin (middle rank ninja) vest from the Hidden Leaf Village (though they're all jonin (high rank ninjas)).
- The characters who appear from 25:28 to 27:27 are all Hokage (Hidden Leaf Village Leaders). From the first (wood techniques guy), to the second (water techniques guy), the third (reaper technique guy) and the fourth (the one from which Ken said "cool shot". He can teleport, and he is my favourite Naruto-verse character 🫡). Then, the blonde woman with the enormous strength and the awesome face tattoos which appears at 22:31 is the fifth Hokage.
- Every character shown from 28:58 to 32:30 is a member of a ninja-terrorist organization called "Akatsuki". The first one shown (Itachi, which is Sasuke's older brother and also a fan-favourite character (he is really really cool)) is noticeable because he wears a black tunic with red clouds on it. This is Akatsuki's trade outfit, which you may see in all of its members. They act as the, let's say, main antagonists of the Naruto series (though, this being anime, it's never that simple 😂😂).
- Finally, regarding the turning-into-a-monster power: In the Naruto world, there are multiple chakra beings called "tailed-beasts". There are 9 in total, and each one of them has a different number of tails, from 1 to 9 (Kurama, the fox, is the nine-tailed one; Shukaku, the sand monster, is the one-tailed one. Then, there's the two-tailed one, the three-tailed one....etc). These powerful beings were sealed inside people in an attempt from the ninja villages to control their power. These people who have a tailed-beast inside themselves are referred as "jinchuriki". Gaara (peanut sand guy 😂) has the one-tailed sealed inside him. Naruto has, for most of the series, half of the nine-tails inside of him. They, through a lot of training, are able to gain access to these tailed-beasts powers.
I hope this proves useful to you and brings you some clarity about the Naruto-verse. Sorry for any grammar/spelling mistakes 😅.

20:58 - Basically, this character, Might Guy (yes, that's his name), is a hardworking martial-artist who tends to give himself these "self-imposed challenges", where if he fails, he has to do something (like going around the whole village while doing a handstand, for example), all so he can improve himself. This one was rock-paper-scissors, where he punched the enemy, but he had a closed hand (rock), while the opponent was lying on the ground with an open hand (paper), so he "lost" and had to go running around while carrying the opponent. Same thing goes to his other super. He fails his self-imposed challenge and went around while in handstand
Those old school ultimates just hit way more visceral than the ones from Storm somehow.
Because storm only gave them 1 ultimate this game shows them being creative with their moves hell even Sakura has only 2 ultimates in storm 4 that’s bullshit
The Ultimate Ninja Storm games, imo, lost the atmosphere of the old school Ults as a result of trying to be faithful to the manga/anime. Not to say some of them don't hit hard, but you can tell that the Older Ults weren't just pretty visually, but epic in design.

Yeah I was really surprised at how much went into Ino's moves specifically. The Ultimate Ninja games feel more like the characters are all given attention, whereas the Storm games feel more like the anime - some characters have a ton put into them and others are... just kind of there
@@noconsequence4486 it also probably doesn't help that most ultimates seems to be trying not to break the gameplay flow, but the Storm games are kinda fast paced, so as a result they lose out both in atmosphere and initial design, especially with the Storm games being so vibrant and bright. Like the Hokage boxing is actually pretty slick, but compare it to any of the old ultimates and it'll still feels like it's missing something.
Why are TenTens moves better then the series, also loved the way she used the ninja sealing scrolls to rain down a butt load of kunais
Orochimaru's and Sasori's screams always get me in this game 🤣
Yeah sometimes when it seems like the characters go into another realm, it's just a visual signifier for the audience to show that the character is using specific techniques (like the ones that look like they suddenly entered the Matrix). Other times though, characters use illusion techniques, like making everything go dark, or making a swirling vortex of explosive ninja talismans look like harmless flower petals in the wind.

9:16 Shikamaru is one of the most beloved secondary-characters in Naruto, his whole shtick is that if his shadow touches yours he will gain complete control over your body and force you to mimic his actions. He's not the strongest hand-to-hand, he doesn't have any giant destructive energy beams, just his shadows and he's one of the most competent opponents because of it combined with his genius-level intellect and ability to lead, work with others and formulate complicated plans. Always outplaying people and anticipating their every move before they make them. He's kinda the epitome of what Naruto was supposed to be before it kinda just became "Ninja DBZ" near the end of its run. Where early in the show because of how extremely lethal and quick ninja are you can't afford a single mistake in a fight without dying, but later on everyone is tanking Kamehameha's like they're Goku.

Yeah, like, he's pretty lazy and complains about having to do work, and isn't the strongest guy around, but when push comes to shove, he's a genius strategist and leader, which, combined with his shadow abilities, makes him quite the threat to face
Man seeing this game brings nostalgia feels as this game was peaking before or during games moving to newer platform of PS3 era. But it’s good to see classic PS2 graphics still live on 😄 so I can say that the moment “Matrix” vibe characters are showing their potential power of connecting within in them and see how the formation goes for that particular character.
With that said, great reaction and was hoping next time you might try to find English Audio so it won’t be confusing for you both to hear the translation in the specials. 😌

No it doesn’t actually……ima be honest and I love the Storm series more than the UN ONLY series…..but I will say…..UN Only series got Ultimate Jutsus for characters that make the Ultimate Jutsus for those same characters but in the Storm games look mediocre tbh…..like Shikamaru for example like wtf!??!?!? This one is more comprehensive on Naruto's early training years, so there's a lot of teachers and other students this go round.
This game is still one of my favourite anime fighting game for the Ultimates. This was the last PS2 Ultimate Ninja game and even with the Ultimate Ninja STORM that started with the PS3, this game has some of the most brutal Ultimates.
This game was the first to include Team Ultimates, there aren't many so I'm surprised they weren't included in that video. Also Temari (blonde girl with the fan) from Shippuden, her Ultimates were missing from the video.

The guy with white eyes and long hair you said "goes into the spirit realm," has the ability to see the flow of chakra in other people (thus the "going after the chakra," bit)
By hitting pressure points he can temporarily disable his opponents flow, making it nearly impossible for them to use their chakra for various techniques.

When people with special abilities unique to their bloodline die and are turned to puppets the puppets can use said abilities.
The black stuff is actually a bloodline ability of the 3rd leader of the village hidden in the sand, it’s called iron sand controlled via magnetism.
This game was in my childhood an OG. Also you can watch Dragon Ball Z Budokai Tenkaichi 3 all abilities and trust me you will enjoy even more. Amazing video as always

There's nature energy that occurs naturally in the Naruto universe. Some animals can talk for some reason. There are sage animals who can wield nature energy, (big, talking snakes, frogs, and a slug that can split itself a lot).
The rest is a bit complicated. A half-alien guy seals away his evil mom and hands chakra out. He also split the Ten Tails into nine Tailed Beasts: Nine tails, Eight Tails... One Tail. It's a complex alien gardener mishap. The series starts maybe a thousand years after that. Different families have different techniques. Different villages have different techniques.
That's the gist of it.

This is an older game when the naruto show was still ongoing so a lot of the big scale battles and transformations haven't happened yet
So the coop moves are missing in this one but other than that these ultimates take me back to the nostalgia realm.

these games were awesome when i was a Kid. but i recommend finding these in the english dub so you can understand whats happening more. the characters in anime fashion shout out what technique they are doing which gives you an idea of what the Jitsu does.
I didn't expect u guys to react to this, this is literally naruto fans' childhood game. There another version of this, it's Naruto Ninja 4 and it's all english. But all in all, enjoy diving into Narutoverse, guys!

Ultimate Ninja was a lot of Naruto fans childhood, being some of the first Naruto fighting games with such vibrant cinematic finishes. Now to touch on the roster, I’ll just do the main Leaf ninja for now - and add on later.

Naruto Uzumaki, you’re more than familiar with him from his Death battle with Ichigo so I’ll be brief. Orphaned and ostracized for the demonic fix inside him his is the series namesake. Those Fox-like transformations are a result of the Nine Tailed Fox inside him trying to take over his body. The more tails he grows, the more control the Nine Tails has over him. Ultimate Ninja 5 encompasses the time skip between *Naruto* and its sequel series *Naruto Shippuden,* with most characters jumping from 10-12 to around 15-17 between both parts.

Sasuke Uchiha, the series rival for Naruto. Also orphaned at a young age he had to witness his entire clan being massacred by his elder brother Itachi. He left his home to train and eventually claim revenge.

Neji Hyuga, the second member of Lee’s team. Neji was born with a special set of Ninja eyes like Sasuke, his being called the Byakugan.
The Byakugan are basically free X-Ray vision, and are distinguished by the veins around the eyes and lack of pupils. The allow Hyuga clan members (as only Hyuga can have them) to see a persons veins, bones, and chakra network.
Neji can break your bones and sever veins with the Hyuga’s signature fighting style *The Gentle Fist.* He can even cut you off from your Chakara - stopping you from using any type of ninjutsu (ninja magic).

Ten-Ten, the last member of Lee’s team. Bring a weapons ninja, are can summon any weapons she needs by putting them inside those scrolls. From hundreds of daggers to a massive club.

Shikamaru Nara, the effective leader of his team. Shikamaru is known for being an Einstein level genius in Naruto - the downside? He’s really lazy, preferring to let everyone else do their own thing. However, when he gets series he’s playing 5D chess while everyone else plays checkers.
His signature jutsu is his clans Shadow Posession technique. Shikamaru and freely manipulate his shadow or the shadows of anything his comes into contact with. He can manipulate your body, a random trees shadow, or even the shadow made by a flash grenade. Once that Gallegos you’re essentially done.

Choji Akimichi, the second member of Shikamaru’s squad. A bigger built guy Choji loves his potato chips and barbecue. His Chan can freely “Mr Fantastic” their bodies using their chakra. Choji can also burn the fat in his body to generate extra chakra, taking the form of his butterfly wings and giving him a massive power buff.

The final member of Shino’s team Hinata Hyuga. That last mane sound familiar? She’s actually Neji’s cousin. Being a shy and timid girl by nature, she’s ironically a fist fighter. Having her own set of Byakugan she can do everything Neji can.

Gaara, the ninja president of his own nation: The Hidden Sand Village. Much like the bane implies, he controls sand, and can make it sharper than a sword or denser than steel if he wishes it. He can also crush you under a sea of sand. He’s also the holder of the One Tails, having his own demon animal sealed inside him.

Kankuro, older brother if Gaara and his personal bodyguard. Kankuro as you can see can create strings out of his chakra, and control his ninja puppets to fight his enemies for him.

Temari, older sister ti Gaara and the lady of the sand siblings. Chakra, while being able to make most elements - is not cheap to produce. Done ninja use tools to generate the element for them, and manipulate it from there. Temari is an excellent wind element user, with her fan gives bf her wind to start from.
That little weasel you see her use is her summon. Much like Naruto can summon frogs and Sasuke snakes, she has a weasel with a sword.

Kurenai Yuhi, the adult supervisor of Team Kurenai (Hinata, Kiba, and Shino). When ninjas are still young (10-14) they supervised by an elite ninja until they come of age. Kurenai is a genjustu ninja, creating illusions before making a fatal blow.

Kakashi Hatake, leader of team 7 (Naruto, Sasuke, and Sakura). Kakashi has an eye yea Solent that gives him his best friends old Sharingan - a dying gift given to him my Obito Uchiha. However, since Kakashi isn’t a Uchiha - he can’t turn his Sharingan off, and must cover it with his headband to avoid burning through his chakra.
Regardless he has copied over 1000 jutsu with his eye, and makes effective use of it despite his disability. He can even use it to generate black holes to suck enemies in.

Yamato, the substitute leader if team 7 while Kakashi was hospitalized for Sharingan overuse. He can freely manipulate and generate a seemingly endless supply of wood. Wood Style is ludicrously rare, yet exceedingly powerful.

Might Guy, leader of Team Guy (Lee, Neji, and Ten-Ten). He’s the one who taught Lee how to master his Taijustu, and he’s just as good at it - if not better than Lee.

Asuma Sarutobi, leader of team Asuma (Shikamaru, Choji, and Ino). He specializes in fire and wind elements, using his cigarettes and chakra blades to burn you alive or cut you to shreds.

Anyway, all of that aside, one of my favorite Naruto character that I like is, Rock Lee, the guy with the bowl haircut, raps on his hands and arms, dressed in all green and not to be confused with his teacher, basically, more or less, the same thing, but with a vest and big nose, that looks like a Asian version of Don Flamenco from punch out, but back to Rock Lee, he's the only character, that "doesn't have any superpowers", but instead have super abilities. He's a straight-up martial artist, but the things that he does, is just over-exaggerated.
Another great reaction you know you should give naruto a watch and then y'll know what there jutsus are called also a little hint the matrix style fighting is called 8 trigrams 64 palms and its only unique to the huga clan cuz they can activate there eyes to see the chakra spots aka the glowing spots you saw on there body when they activated it.
The ultimates in ultimate ninja 2 were the best imo

These are mostly better than what we have in storm games, yeah naruto and sasuke has crazy ults but just look at shino, ino, hinata and other characters ult here and then look at the storm ones.

The guys that use puppets come from the land of wind mostly made of deserts. Its a smaller nation that can't afford to lose their ninjas in battle. so they learned to use puppets instead of actually sending soldiers into battles. a puppet can be fixed but a human life can't. the puppet users are my favorite characters from the series.

About the source of their powers, it is called Chakra. It's like a magic in other video games, the more magic you have, the more stuff you can do. So in Naruto-verse, more Chakra, the better.

you guys should react to inazuma eleven hissatsu techniques. the pacing on those are also a bit slower than these naruto ones so you should be able to know whats going on more easily

Kinda sucked they didn't include the tag ultimates. Some characters have a different ultimate jutsu when paired with a certain character, like Naruto + Sakura, Itachi + Kisame, Sasuke + Orochimaru.
The 1st Hokage(Hashirama), the man who made the forests with his techniques, has the coldest Ultimate Jutsu in the Ultimate Ninja series
