I love these longer videos of yours. I always want to yell out "You missed a spot!" but I can't because you never do! Your work is so precise. Excellent job as always.
40 minutes and 22 seconds, Oh YEAH!! I prepared a nice snack and enjoyed every second of it. I have never seen any other sealcoating company take such time, care and percision to use a small paint brush on hard to reach areas. I LOVE IT SO MUCH!! The driveway turned out absolutely beautiful Thank you so much for posting this video of us to enjoy. 🥰✌️
I’m bloody impressed with all the detail in the job, everything you do is on a professional level. I feel bad though as your doing all the hard work and we are 👀 lurking on the satisfaction of it.
At the 38:45 mark. End of the driveway, camera angle looking back into the property, the sun through the trees and the shadows si picturesque. Took a screenshot of it. It was so lovely couldn't resist😊. Also like the serenity one must have living there. You could hear the birds. Absolutely lovely.
Your attention to detail and superb situational awareness with regard to boot placement throughout is outstanding! A real pleasure to watch you work. Subscribed!
You should visit these places in a weeks time to show how they look after being driven on.. a little ageing on the sealcoat that has been done so cleanly would be lovely to see
Wow..a big job for 1 person… U killed it though…… LOVE HEARING THE SOUND OF THE COATING COMING OUT OF THAT SPOUT AND U SWISHING THE COAT WHEN ITS ON THE GROUND AND UR COATING., SOUNDS LIKE WATER!!!! I could hear that all day
Sir much respect to you and the pride of your trade, you must pass down this proper way of workmanship and pride to others and think about franchising your company and keeping this great thing of yours going for the coming future.. this new generation has missed the meaning of hard work and pride of your trade and what work means in general. Again much respect sir.
Nice job. How come none of the driveways you seal have any cracks, holes, or gaps to fill? Do you do a site survey before every job and pick which ones to do?
Next year we'll show the sh!t bombs too. I usually only film on Sundays so I save the driveways that will look best on camera for those days. I wish they all looked like these 😂.
Soo mesmerising ... hard to believe watching someone apply sealant can be so theraputic :) Thanks for the long vid too... must have taken some work editing but the viewers (including myself) will love you for it :)
Love watching you do this. I even got my daughter hooked watching them. Hahaha. Question for you. I have a paved lot that was done years ago by the previous property owner. Not smooth like this but more small rock. Maybe old school tar & gravel? Would this be the same process for what I have? I’m in SC and mostly what I see is lots being sprayed. Thanks
Hi - a few questions for you. How did you get started in sealcoating? Did you learn how to do it strictly on the job, or did you practice your technique somewhere else before you started doing actual jobs? What part of the work do you like doing the most (besides being finished 😄), and is there a particular aspect you don't like doing? Finally, I know others have complained about the type of music you use on some of the videos, but I personally think it really suits the pace of what you're doing. I'm looking forward to more videos in the spring. 😊
I started when my "then" boss could find my friend/his employee on a weekend morning, then he asked me to take his place (2004-2005). I learned everything on the job. I started out just caring buckets of sealer from the truck to the driveway. My favorite part is the prep. Cleaning up a dirty driveway and getting it ready to be sealed is what I enjoy the most. Winding the hose up when its all the way out is the worst part me me. Doing that all day when its really hot out always takes it out of me. Next season I hope to be making a lot of my own music for these videos.
We use brushes, but yes, I believe for residential work this is the best application method. Theres a link in the description if you want to learn the entire process.
How long before the seal coat isn’t tacky anymore? Asking because I’m so curious about a small breeze coming through, and blowing those leaves right back onto the pavement.
I just stumbled on these videos. I always find these types of videos satisfying. I do have one question. Why do you use a push style method? Have you tried squeegees that you pull? I use to seal driveways for years, and for me at least, the squeegees that pull is smooth. You don't have to go back over it for boot marks, because you're always behind it. I do love that trickle method doing it so so you don't always have to keep moving the hose around.
Ive never used a squeegee before, but I think brushing the sealer into the asphalt from a few different direction is the best way to work it in. Just my opinion. Also, I couldn't imagine walking backwards all day.
Posted - Keep Out!! Great video. It was my evening’s relaxing entertainment. Of course, I noticed all the keep out signs, beware of dog, etc. I am a bit cynical when I see those warnings. I am so fortunate to have a couple hundred acres in Western Pennsylvania. This is the time of year when the hunters from the urban areas converge on us in my area. Many (not most) of them could give a rat’s rump if your property is posted or not. Every year I encounter a “Rick from Pittsburgh” sitting in one of our deer stands. “Rick” always pleads ignorant until I show him photos of his truck parked 5 feet from a posted sign. I then show him - or volunteer to show him - photos of all the posted signs he walked past on the way to “his” deer stand. I often wonder if “Rick” is one of the guys who has his property near the city posted similarly to this person. Anyway, GREAT VIDEO. AND I APOLOGIZE FOR THE RANT. 😏😏
Looks like this was a one man job this time around..lol. I appreciated the small details on what you did especially when you were cutting around that white pipe. You even took the time to ensure that the seal wasn't on the pipe and small foundation wall ( i think that a small part of the foundation).
How do you deal with leaves blowing or falling on the driveway after you have just finished applying the sealcoat, or does it dry/cure fast enough that it is not an issue?
It’s only an issue if it’s blocking the sealer from the driveway. I’ll pick or push the leaves off first, then continue sealing. After the driveway is sealed it doesn’t matter if anything falls on it.
Do you ever do in the garage also? Watched about 10 videos and haven’t seen you yet? I guess you charge /square foot add $$ for awkward areas?? Some drives you probably use more sealant than others?
Inside the garage is usually concrete. It's all done by square footage. Unsealed driveways can sometimes take 2x the sealer as a driveway that we've done before.
Nice video bro love It . Why you go over some many times over your finished ? I know speed is not your priority but quality is , but why stepping on finish product over 10 times why ? I want to learn something new today . Nice work 🎉

OMGGGGG. This is the best one yet. It's a long video and so satisfying
I think you're right

Next year we’ll probably be doing some driveways from the first season, hopefully.
Amazing video just love it so much

Absolutely amazing video presentation ❤❤..like this..
You got it man. That's how it should be Doon. Great JOB!
I appreciate that! This one was definitely a challenge. Sometimes its harder to film them, then it is to seal them.
love the paintbrush detailing.
That was such a rough, uneven paving job, jagged edges, rough surface… I’m sure this job was a nightmare. Your result was fantastic!
Yes it was. This was probably my most difficult seal.
It's 5:40 a.m. on 11/3/21 and I'm like, YES!! A 40 minute sealcoating video.....SCORE !!

I love his videos... I don't think I should be as excited as I get while watching them. 😏

What type of mix do u use its very good
It’s all about the sand. 500 pounds in a full tank.
Is that sealant a textile almost reminds me of a undercoat I used for military vehicles.
It's called "ASPHALT EMULSION".
I liked the video transition effect, well done! 😊👍
Thanks
Very surprised you guys don't edge your edges then just fly with the squeegee, non the less, great work.
Done a good and tidy job .
Thanks Andrew. This was definitely the most challenging job to seal and film at the same time.
Who needs that calm app when you've got this.
I gotta hurry up & get me a driveway so I can fly him out my way and offer him some lemonade🍋
Done ✅
Good stuff but how is the sealer not dry on you by the time your done cutting all that in ? Must be super early in the morn
Yup. This was first thing in the morning. For these bigger jobs that I film, I have them scheduled for 7-8am start times.

Thanks. This might be my favorite one.
I feel like I haven’t seen one job you guys have done with cracks. You guys using hot or like truflex cold applied ? Jw
Both. I film some crack patches this season. We’ve been subbing out hot tar and our bigger commercial lots.
Is using a squeegee the best method compared to a spray application ?
We use brushes, but yes, I believe for residential work this is the best application method. Theres a link in the description if you want to learn the entire process.
May I ask what sort of stand up trowel you are using? I'm in Australia so I won't take any of your customers hehe.
The brush?
How long before the seal coat isn’t tacky anymore? Asking because I’m so curious about a small breeze coming through, and blowing those leaves right back onto the pavement.
Sometimes a few hours (in peak summer) and sometime 48 hours (in autumn) 🍁
All that matters is that the driveway is sealed underneath.
Hello from Florida USA!! Beautifully done!! How long does the sealcoat take to cure?
Thanks. 24 hours to walk, 48 hours to drive.
How do you quote a job? I know many people charge by square feet but what would be an easier way to give an estimate to a potential client???
Measure them. Its really the best way to get an accurate price and be fair to the customer.

I do like the fact that you trim the edges before you clean and seal. But where is the crack seal before sealcoat?
This driveway didn't have any cracks.
What was in the squirt bottle to get the sealer off the drain pipe?
Just water 💧
Is latex the best with additives?
Coal tar with just sand and water.
Super Cool!!!
Thanks Zev
A curiosity, the excess that remains in the tank dries or remains liquid?
Remains liquid.
