I have a Maxpedition with a damaged zipper that I have to figure out how to fix. Never even thought of using a plastic bottle in these pouches. Thank you for the video, Threads. Stay safe and stay warm
I think the best option , for me, is to carry collapsible water bottles life those from platypus & a metal cup. I also like to carry small strips of cordage to tie a bottle (such as that liter bottle) anywhere or to fashion as a handle.
Thank you
Glad to find a video that compares these water bottle containers.

I have two of the Maxpedition 12X5 and never considered trying a 2 liter bottle in it. Thank you sharing this information. Thumbs up.

Nice to know the 12x5 maxpedition will hold the pathfinder 64oz bottle 👍🏻
I don't have the big pathfinder bottles for test fits. As long as the diameter is good then it should fit though for sure.
Looks like the maxpedition is better quality than the pathfinder.
By far. Hands down better
