I am a engine lover I love the way my 300r responds to the throttle I get oodles of confidence while riding this bike what a handling direction change is like a sharp knife good allrounder bike for my kind of liking only thing I complain is about the headlights, seats a super comfortable for me its wide and a bit stiffer seat works better during long ride wide seat supports my butt way way better than my Interceptor which comes with a shitty stock seat. Suspension set up is also spot on and well balanced, as said in this video if you are not craving for top speed and you need a blasting acceleration till 140kmph this is the one to go you will enjoy a lot its very well balances and stiffened frame is a cherry on cake overall a well engineered product almost nothing to complain last but not the least it fits tall people nicely so if you don't care how you look on the bike want the brilliant ride and handling balance amazing front end feel go for it blindly only advice is to change to a better compund tyre may be tvs protorque or apollo aplha h1.
Hey I have just purchased the 300r and have done almost 700km (300km tour in between) not even done with first servicing, the problem I am facing is the lean forward sitting position. Before this bike I had FZ so this sitting position is new for me. So does it get better with time or do I need to add a handlebar riser?
Nice review :) I did not feel that much of a difference between 300r and 300f accelerating to 100 (and yes that's all that matters for me on an Indian road), yes the R responds quick and will make you feel like you are on a ride by wire bike but that's mostly it, such a tune is kinda the norm these days (tvs 310, triump 400 etc), I tried driving both of them to make sure and I clocked almost similar time on both reaching 100. For the price I definitely recommend 300f. Keep in mind it also has low compression ratio which means normal petrol is absolutely fine for the engine. It's really a bang for the buck. Another thing, if someone is keen on going for long trips and fly on highways anything above 120kmph (which I strongly oppose on Indian roads) consider a bike with high aerodynamics. Naked bikes are not that fun, neither are efficient for such high speed for long periods. Would you try changing the sprocket teeth for higher top speed for 300f pls?
Nicely said. Changing sprockets will only redistribute the power. It will not produce more power to push further. If you need more power you have to opt for powertronic like ecu mods. Although I have fuelx lite in my list of mods.
@@EzMeck 🤔 I'm no longer playing with modes now. This was just out of curiosity. In the past, I mean when I was a teen I had a fiero, modded that a lot and I've to say that one mod I like to do is the changing of sprocket and testing it's high speeds. I always preferred to accelerate more and go fast so initially made such adjustments. However when I had to take that thing for work. I went the other way and would you believe if I said I was getting a mileage up-to 80kmpl on it? Not just that mod made it possible though. I go to 35 to 55 on last gear hold the clutch and coast it till it get back to 35, while holding the clutch the engine would shut down. The downside was clutch damage but back then it's clutch only costed me 200 rupees and my fuel savings were through the roof. And also from my acceleration sprocket to speed sprocket there was a difference of 35kmph. I said this story to tell you that I disagree with you.
Very objective comparison. Honda has studied the factors that matter for daily use in India and come up with 300f which has a lower compression ratio and probably better fuel efficiency too. Even Honda could not have said it better than you !

I am using my CB300F from past 7 months. Recently I observed that when I ride the bike for short duration I get a smoky smell from engine, when I come to rest. I do not see any oil leak on the engine either. Is it the case with your or other bikes too? if not can you please suggest how to handle this?

It's oil cooled so it cannot match the refinement of 300r. But with time its getting reduced.

Over heating. Change the engine oil ASAP.
