Thank you for this wonderful and moving video! I'm so sorry that your mom is going through that illness and I'm so sorry that you're going through that pain. I'm the same age as you and I'm finding it very difficult to see my parents aging. My dad has cancer, and it's tough. My heart is with you! And as for books, I'll be going to Wheeldale very soon!🫠👻
This is how I feel sometimes when I do a tag off the cuff. The way you snuck cannibalism in, made me chuckle. The candlelight dinner sounds so beautiful. And I have to agree with you on number one and I love the George C. Scott one. I'm so sorry for your mom, my thoughts are with her and all of you. Thank you for tagging me.
This brought me so much joy, Jen! The love in this video melted my heart and was exactly why I love watching your content so much. You’re so open and honest and authentic. Thank you for the reminder to get to reading a Christmas carol. The muppets movie is elite!! 😂
Thank you so much for the kind words. The holiday season is tough this year, but I'm thankful for the lovely community we have here on BookTube. Your content always brings me such joy and reminds me that self-care is a worthwhile and vital priority. I appreciate you so much❤❤
Awesome! Thank you for doing our tag! I loved your answers! It's so much fun to watch the tag go from person to person and around the world! I LOVE it!
I also wanted to say that I'm very sorry to hear about your mom. Parkinson's is a terrible disease and many people don't realize the mental health changes that can take place along with the physical problems. My dad had dementia and I swear to this day, it was the most difficult time of my life. Please take care of yourself. You and your family are in my highest thoughts. Thanks again for doing our tag and for sharing your personal memories.
Thank you so much. It hurts to see her physical decline, but as you mentioned, the mental decline is even harder to watch. I truly appreciate your kind words. Thank you again.
I would also struggle with the "Joy" part Jen. We have had such an horrific year that Christmas seems almost a distraction then anything joyful. Loved The Terror, hope you do too. I am so sorry for your mom, sending love and hugs ♥♥♥
It's been a difficult year for so many of us. I'm looking for ways to bring light and comfort into the end of the year and the beginning of the next. Here's to continual love and support in this wonderful BookTube community of ours!
Great answers to this tag! I'm really sorry about your feeling under the weather and what you and your family are going through regarding your mom's illness. 💔
I'm really sorry about your mom. Parkinson's is such a cruel disease. It's nice that you have happy childhood memories to call on, and that you are making/have made holiday memories that your own kids will carry with them. My youngest and I have a tradition of watching the Alistair Sims version of A Christmas Carol every Christmas Eve. He's such a moody, sulky teenager now, it makes it extra special that he's still willing to spend that time with me watching an old, sentimental movie 😄.
Oh dear Jen, I am so sorry to hear that your mom is going through such a difficult time. The holidays can be very hard when we are dealing with illnesses or loss. I'm holding you in my heart, dear one. Please take care. oxox
Thanks for doing this tag. I'm sorry your mom has Parkinsons. I recently read The Christmas Carol. Perhaps I should read it again this month. I love hearing your recollections of Christmas pasts and your family traditions
I must read 'A Christas Carol', you have me very curious, even enthusiastic about it. I will track this down & get to it. Thanks for the inspiration. You always give me so many keenly sought for bookish adventures, especially into genres new to me - thank you. I am thinking of you & your mum, sorry you are both going through a tough time, hope there's some joy amidst the pain.
I am so glad to be able to introduce you to some new books and genres. Thank you so much for watching and for the kind words about my mother. I appreciate your interaction so very much.
That joy tag is tough for a horror reader. I’m gonna struggle with that one too. I’m so sorry to hear about your Mom. It’s so hard to watch a loved one go through that. I love that you have that memory of her. 🖤 I loved A Certain Hunger so much! Great video. Thank you for the tag! Hope you’re feeling better!🎄
