The Japanese-to-English conversion of "Fan Club" is like a blacksmith wondering who to sell his most prized sword to; does he sell it to an amateur fencer, or a master swordsman? Nintendo, apparently, gave the sword to the amateur. Sure, the translation was dead-center, but what's the sword doing in the hands of someone that anyone in my choir could top? It doesn't matter how good the translation is. If a bad singer's singing it, it sucks.
Whoah, this is WAY better than the English version where the singer sounds heavily sedated. The only song which sounds better in English is Ringside as far as I'm concerned.
I've heard it enough to give my opinion of the song, but out of my personal opinion, I like the English version better. Maybe if I've played Tengoku Gold first maybe my opinions would be vice-versa, who knows.
What's wrong with it? Both of them are fine to me, personally this one version sucks to me because I've never played Tengoku Gold, but I've played Heaven. I'm saying this version wise.
I like this version better... Personally I think the english translation is a little silly. xP But I still like the english version too. This is a GREAT game.
It's already been uploaded (along with all the other songs). It's called "Thrilling! Is this love?". Yeah, it's different. Everything about the song is pretty good other than the fact that the person who sung it has no enthusiasm. :( It doesn't even seem professional.
As a lot of people have said, I like both English and Japanese versions. c: The Japanese versions, however, seems to have more emotion to it, probably because the Japanese language has a lot of onomatopoeia's that are hard to transfer into English without it sounding weird.
@TheRecordedMusic Thats a horrible thing to say. Be proud of what you are and where you come from and dont forget it. (Not saying that Japan is a bad place)
feel like i like the english version better...shes a freaking IDOL! the lyrics fit her in english. version i dont like is the spanish version *shudders*
I'll have to disagree with those oppinions about the Japanese version being better, i think it sounds a little too cute and some of the songs really doesn't have the same passion, as Frog Hop and Space Soccer. Those are pretty weak. (Please don't spam for this statement)
*CLAP! CLAP! CLAP! CLAP!*
*glares at you annoyed for clapping off-key*

I just noticed they got a different singer for the megamix version of the song. I like the megamix version more though.

Well, I like them both. They're both quite cute. X3
The Japanese one is catchier though.
Wow...both Fan Club songs are epic!!!
Shame they butchered them in the English release...
:(
one time i got this wrong i wanted the monkeys to throw poop at her instead of blaming me
My headphones weren't plugged in right and I heard a very rough instermental version with the backup singers being very clear. Weird, but cool :3
日本語版は英語版よりも優れています。
Agreed, the english songs just don't have the same passion...
This version is much better than english, no contest! XD

There are Japanese idols too, bro. It's such a big deal in Japan, too. Never heard of "IDOLM@STER"?

this version of fan club is better than the english one, the english one just sounds like she doesnt give a fuck
Still, i gotta agree that other songs are better in english, such as Air rider, and frog hop
