When it comes to Ecamm Live, Adrian is the Master Tutor. Nobody else beats him. I can’t think of anybody on YT who’s covered as much. I’ve done pretty well with Ecamm Live thanks to Adrian and now I need to do a presentation and that’s why I’m back here. Thanks my man!! 💪🏾
I’ve been sharing via second monitor rather than exporting out of PowerPoint. Then running Ecamm on my primary monitor. Works nicely.
Love the tutorial videos, thanks for doing them!
I"m sure Adrian is aware of this, but for others I'll leave this comment:
I've discovered there is another way to show the Keynote presentation while recording. This one only works if you have two monitors running.
Set all of the Ecam screens as you like on the screen that will be the presenter screen.
Open keynote on the main screen that you'll be screen sharing. Do not press "Play Presentation" yet!
Once you have your scene selections at the ready in Ecam, begin recording.
Now press "Play Presentation" on Keynote.
The Ecam windows you had open before Keynote took over all of your screens will still be accessible on the presenter screen. You can switch scenes, use overlays, whatever.
I've only tried this for local recording, so I don't know how well it works for Live presentations.
Anyway, you still get to use your fun/silly animations, and keep the visual fidelity of Keynote.
Thank you for your time and tutoring blessings
Another golden nugget of information! Looking forward to the Academy next week!
Lisa Shaw thanks, me too!
Thank you for this presentation Adrian. I have found as a quick way to move between slides without having to repeat click your mouse. If you left click and hold your mouse over the slide transition box, the complete number of slides in your presentation will pop up by page number on the screen and then you can pick which slide you want to go to.
AWESOME TUTORIAL and VERY USEFUL, Adrian! THANK YOU!
You're very welcome! :-)
Thank you for an engaging and informative tutorial - appreciate the ideas you presented!
Thank you so much! This is exactly what I was looking for!! I will be doing webinars/educational videos for first time homebuyers and I will be sharing our power point that we normally distribute to the in person attendees!! I just subscribed to your channel & website!!
Great tutorial video for ECAMM thanks!
Adrian, LOVE this....extremely thorough!
This was so helpful. Thank you. I simply did a drag and drop and adjusted the size with my mouse to fit an overlay I bought. Been trying to figure this out for like 3 months, so THANK YOU MAJORLY!
This whole series has been great. Thanks for doing this and helping newbies like myself out on how to set these things up!
Thank you for these tutorials Adrian. I am learning so much from them.
Here's how to get your PIP to appear on top of the PDF: Go to Source>Blank, Options>Show Picture-in-Picture.
Hey Adrian, perfect tutorial. The export was the missing link for me. Thanks.
Hey! love this video :) Instead of option 2, saving keynote as html, you can open your keynote as a google slide. And, that allows you to share in the chrome browser. Plus, you can see your speaker notes
This is great! I have to create a presentation for my PhD dissertation, so is this recordrd and saved so you can upload ? This is exactly what I've been searching for! I'm so excited!!
Angela Scardina looks pretty cool eh 😊
Also...why not just full screen your keynote presentation on the second monitor and then PIP over that?
Both relevant and helpful
Thank you for a great video. I was wondering what kind of camera you are using?
Did he seem like he’s having an awful lot of fun teaching something that is complicated AF....secretly knows this is a straight mind bender.
Thank you for this!
@Adrian Salisbury -- Tip: if you click on the page selector that pops up when you're over the PDF, it will popup a scrolling, clickable page list, allowing you to quickly move from page 300 to page 1 with ease.
Hi Adrian, i've got a question. How do you use the RUclips Poll function in Ecamm Live? Thank you very much.
My Ecamm version april 7 2020 doesn't show the primary, secondary display options - I use a canon as secondary camera. What can I do instead to get the keynotePDF in as a layer?
Hey Adrian, for your bit about using Chrome as your source, I use an extension called "WINDOW RESIZER"... this lets me manually type in a resolution (ie 1920x1080) and it will force change the resolution to that.. bonus, you can tell it to change either the window size or the viewport... in my case, I ALWAYS do VIEWPORT, this way the actual viewing area is 1920x1080 and so I just need to zoom ecamm in to that area. hopefully that makese sense.
Brad Poirier good tip, thanks
Tick ‘Print each stage of builds’ if you want to control the flow of information; reveal bit-by-bit.
In other words, information point by information point. Bullet point by bullet point will come in as you set up in the original Keynote.
No animation will appear though, you can control flow of content or images to prevent your viewers reading ahead.
Hi Adrian, Hi, is it mandatory to use a Canon DSLR camera to use the Virtual Camera feature in Ecomm Live for zoom calls? Or the integrated cam will suffice? Or with an iphone X or higher? Thanks.
omg thank you for this tip I was doing it the hard way! I am able to create 10 min videos with overlays and finish with a beautiful presentation. I never had great success with the green screen. I believe my lighting is poor and I'm not prepared to buy lighting. I'm happy with my background the green screen would be nice.
Can you toggle off the overlay camera sometimes during your presentation to show the full screen without yourself onscreen, then toggle it back off after skipping ahead in the presentation and not lose your place?
Thanks for another awesome video Adrian! If I want to have my presentation notes visible when streaming my Keynote have you got any input to this please?
I'm missing how you got that black screen background at the 2:35 mark?
@@LyleSpringer thank you, like Greg, that was the one passage I was missing! This way is the quickest if the presentation is set up right (dimensions, placements of text etc...)
Can you clarify when you dropped in the PDF onto the Secondary Display...did you actually drop that PDF into the ECamm window or onto your desktop? Cheers
You can do keynote live and then use the browser running it from the cloud
Yes I guess so, why not give it a try and let me know how you get on👍
When I click Share Screen than go to its drop down menu I only see Current Application and the application below that. I do not have the option above for Secondary Display. Can you help?
Haven't heard of that? You may need to contact Ecamm support on their website.
I am seeing the same option. Thanks for the question. did you get a response?
where can i get a green screen like that one?
Hi Adrain, love the videos! Is it possible to present a Keynote through Ecamm that DOES retain the animations? Thanks in advance!!
Yes, absolutely. we have an updated video on this but I'll be answering this and more LIVE today here - ruclips.net/video/-cNkhiVwkrU/видео.html
Referring to 2:32 - what have you already got ticked so that your background goes black? - Great vid btw. thanks.
Hi, What application do you use to record these type of tutorials ? Really interested as i am trying to show people how to use ECAMM but in SPANISH! A little help....pretty please? Gracias
Hi Adrian..I just found out how to display keynote correctly with Ecamm Live by dropping the PDF onto the screen as an overlay but how do you make the pic in pic display in the foreground..it wasn't obvious to me in the video? Also how do I get a nice count down timer with music...you showed in Live stream bootcamp but now can't find the video..got a link?
I had the same problem and then discovered that in prefs you can toggle on PIP in front.
Thanks Adrian!
Do you know why I can’t use full hd cam? In the settings there is only 720 :-( I have checked the high quality also
Mihaly Toth what camera and hdmi connection are you using?
Do you need the Pro (top tier) of Ecamm to do this?
HI Adrian, Love you vids. Do you have vid on running a Powerpoint so I get my built in animations? I have a PPT built as a Jeopardy style Game Show so need to run the actual Powerpoint to run the animations. I have to be able to mouse over the categories on PPT screen selected by guests or chat participants.
What green screen are you using? Really liked the pull up :-)
Thank you very much.
Is it possible to have a guest live on Facebook?
absolutely, through Ecamm Live you bring them in via Skype and then broadcast your interview to Facebook :-)
@@AdrianSalisbury thanks for the quick reply
Hi Adrian,
thanks for the tips.
I just tried it out, but it does noch work for me in Zoom.
I am running the Trial Version with Ecamm Live Pro.
After turning on the virtual camera, I can not find it in Zoom, any Idea?
Any way to see the upcoming slide?
Can you set your presentation to slide show instead of pressing forward all the time? Warmest wishes
Thanks Adrian this is good. My challenge i that I´d like to use ppt (16:9), a clicker and present like the "weatherman". Then it is similar to the way I do my physical presentations.
Using a pdf 16:9 then I think I have to sit by the keyboard. Am I right? I´ll do a screens share in the FB group. Atle.
how many slides might there be? As I mention, if it's not too many you could set up a scene for each and then you could use the StreamDeck app on a phone and click on the scenes that way ;-) In fact that's a genius idea right there!
... although couldn't you just sit in front of your green screen and then it's all simpler at your desk.
Hi! Great video! A couple of questions. Beginner here. 1 - Do I need Ecamm Pro to do pip? I just want to do keynote presentations exported to pdf like you show with me pip. 2 - I dont have a secondary display. Not sure if that is necessary. So I have "entire screen" selected in "show." Then I drag the pdf over and I can't get the pip back on top of the pdf. Any thoughts? Thanks so much!!!
Hi, Goto menu and under video setting you can check the PiP above overlays. This will do the job.
@@TheMasterwega Thank you so much but for the life of me I cannot find where the "Settings" are.
Allison McCune Davis there’s an overly on your window, the video switched and on the far left it’s a box in a box that’s greyed out. Did you see it in the video
Will the animations in powerpoint work in ecamm?
Do we need the PRO version to see the second screen from the screen share?
Like when we click to play how can we do it without clicking 😉
Keynote will allow you to present in a window natively now.
Hi Adrian: thanks for all your help. I have two questions: how can I run the audio from video's form the presentation via html through Ecamm Live and Zoom? And I see you switching easily between scenes and camera's by clicking on different thumbnails on your screen while I have to use the overlay window. How can I change that? I have Ecamm Pro. Thanks.
Loopback
Dear Adrian, please, I would like to share my keynote presentation includes videos inside (which I cannot export like pdf), any suggestions?
can you do this in the 'standard' account? I can't seem to get the PiP to show.
Re - running presentations with animations and transitions --- I much prefer Keynote to Powerpoint - but it's possible to run Powerpoint in a window which solves that problem.
you could but you'll get the presenter view
@@AdrianSalisbury - nope. That’s what I actually do.
Whats that snazzy green screen please?
Neewer or Elgato make them. Have a look on Amazon :)
hi I drop the pdf to the screen but it covers everything, even including my PIP video ... what can I do?
Hi, that was a problem I solved by clicked the source switcher from camera to share screen.
can my skype guest share their screen to me using ecammlive? or see my screen while live and on call?
HTML is not an option on iOS
Can you run a PowerPoint in scammer?
You never said how you set up to bring the PDF IN...You talked about it but never said how to do it
Please consider transmitting a keynote presentation more efficiently. Because pdf and html sucks!
how about PPT. You need to slow it down and teach, not to see how cool the functions are.
dude, your quite confusing
