Absolutely outstanding. It's not always the big things that makes a satisfying and complete driving experience but its can be those small additions that completes the whole. Great job guys. BMW missed this little but important detail.
Love these, but do you think the loud click might get a little annoying to use every day? Is there a way to be able to adjust how loud the audible click is?
I assume the feel is perfect but it does sound quite noisy which would make the novelty wear off pretty fast. A market you could tap into is the hot hatch Audi/VW as its full of modders looking for the next upgrade.
Yes Please BMW E9X M3. I already have the Evolve/MMR Billet Shift Paddles in both my BMWs an E9X M3 and a F30 335i. What is the one part of the car you touch all the time? Steering Wheel bling is very important and satisfying for the ultimate driving experience. Cool Billet Aluminum on a nice cold morning drive slicing through the curves.
Thanks for that cool video and also showing how to assamble. I am a BWM Instusiast and had no Idea, that comes up in the Market. At the End ... Do I wanna have that CLICK CLICK...CLICK CLICK CLICK while I'm flying over Nordschleife? Noooo 🤭AND... I was happy to get Paddles with plastic Paddle-insert in my M340 G21, when previous 340 F31 had full Alluminum Paddles were icecold in Winter ;)..... go ahead, guys.
It’s a personal preference thing so that’s tough for me to say, if you drive like me and only use the paddles when driving spiritedly and then day to day leave it in auto I think it adds to the special occasion feel.
Maybe i have it wrong, i thought the whole point of magnetic paddels is that the magnets are meant to assist in the "pulling force" when engaging a shift. Seems, these paddles the magnets are keeping the paddles from shifting unless you break the magnetic force which is keeping the paddles in an open position. If thats the case, more form over function for a little clicky sound.
@@mikespeed3928 The MAED paddles are designed and manufactured right here in the UK out of billet aluminium. This means the tolerances can be really tight giving a solid feel to them with no wiggle/play. This means no matter where you pull on the paddle, even at the very top/bottom the paddle will pull as it is rigid. We spent a lot of time going back and forth to make sure the tension and magnet strength was just right, we found others to be too strong making the force required to actuate the paddle unsatisfactory. Additionally the actual design and shape of the paddle has had close attention paid to make sure it is ergonomically pleasing.

Was wondering the same thing. . .
I’ve got magnetic AliExpress shifts and it does get very annoying.
Who uses these every day lol just stick it in D and relax. For spirited driving the noise actually helps.

That's what I thought too. They are definitely too loud, they need some kind of damping to make them less noisy.
This guy is so creative definitely what bmw needs😎👍

I agree. Needs some kind of damping between the magnets to make them less noisy I think.
Please make them for the E9x M3!
I second this 🙏🏾
Fantastic looking product just not sure I could live with the clicking all the time 🇬🇧👍🇬🇧👍

Initial response - WOW, they're lovely!! WOW, they're how much??
Completely designed and made in the U.K.
BOM cost is probably £60 max.
@@AliveGhost13 why don't you make some then? Seems like good business
I need some for my RS3!
At £600 plus fitting price, they’re too steep 😮💨. But they are definitely nice!
Have to say the e46 ones were game changing. So I’m a believer here. But the price is spicey.
Should make one with a metallic heavey sound like the 650s
Defo do these for rs3 8y 🙏🏼
100% you need to do some E90 M3 ones. Provided I can trade in my Evolve billet ones I currently have!
That clicking would annoy the crap out of me lol
unfortunately G series are not DCT, but those magnetic are just awesome paired with any DCT, I mean wow!
Those are so so cool will they work on the 2013 F10 M5?
If it has the LCI wheel like shown in the video yes
@@EvolveAutomotive so if your car was pre LCI and you change wheel out to LCI it should work correct ✅
In theory but we can’t guarantee it as we have not tested that
I don't mind getting this for a 991 gt3 rs please make them I'm interested in it
Buy the JQ Werks One. They have it
Whats the update on the new bumper for 3 series that should fix that beaver look?
Is the mount…portion that attaches to steering column aluminum? I have another brand that is plastic and it flexes.
Yes, full aluminium for zero flex

Lovely design and aesthetic but, 600 squid 😢
Debating magnetic paddles for my about-to-be-delivered G80. Does the clicking get annoying after a while?

Sim racing kit in real cars. Would they go in your gp3? Or any jcw
We sold the GP3 a while ago! Not compatible with Mini platform, unsure if the demand would be there considering most are manual.
would these work for my f33 non-msport steering wheel?
Only M Sport unfortunately
@@EvolveAutomotive that's a shame - thanks regardless
Will this fit a E71 x6?
Can I just crudely glue these to my MK6 manual Jetta? That click is pretty enticing.
Strongly think MAED need to come out with a fidget toy
@@EvolveAutomotive totally
Nice them very expensive thou 😢
In a car with a quality interior like the BMW M2 those paddles seem completely at odds!
Not sure of the magnetic part of the design? Magnets replace the mechanical/electrical switch?
Magnets hold the paddle in the open position, meaning the moment you pull it you break that force for a satisfying tactile feel
Did I miss how much they are ? Thanks

The product and our website are linked below the video ✌🏻
Look amazing but that clicking noise 🤔
sounds like a paper stapler
Doesn't leave a hole in the rear of the steering wheel, and I'm totally surprised you don't have to recode the car, lol.
There will be for m3 e9x ?
Potentially, this is MAED’s first product release with more coming!
Do these improve the shift delay at all? My M5 is frustratingly slow even in S3
They actuate the moment you pull them, which can cut down the reaction time a little, but it doesn’t make a difference like say XHP would.
No xhp gesr box flash will

If that were the case how would the paddle return? You’d then need a spring stronger than the magnet to push the paddle back to its open position.
I wish I didn't see this, I just recently switched it to carbon fiber paddles on my new M5. lol
Do you guys ship overseas?
We ship worldwide, MAED have dealers in many countries, where are you?
What about australia
