Thanks ! ! This has been a great help ! ! ✌👍👏
My problem is in the ring lights surrounding the knobs. They come on with the headlights but seem to have an intermittent short. So far I can bring them on by thumping on them but that won't continue to work for long. I will probably have to remove those back screws to get to them.
It's still the bulbs. Either loose connection or are about to fail. Get the new bulbs and you won't have that issue
This video is wrong. Those bulbs are bout $6 in a Toyota dealership and they do not control the light you showed rather the control the lighting on the ring around the knob.
Hi my problem is that at night time I can’t see the different position on the third knob that has all the little markings for the airflow. Does this little light that he just changed fixes the problem? Are these the correct bulbs for the climate control outer rings ?
Thank you
@@saimirk9312 He is doing the "backlight" bulbs, also called by some people, I think, the "bezel" bulbs. "Outer rings" is a good term for it. I did this fix several years ago, getting the little bulbs from ebay very cheaply, like a few dollars for 10-20 of them. I don't remember, but they may be "T4" bulbs, which may come from them being 4mm.
This video shows that any idiot not knowing what they're talking about can make and post a "tutorial" video to RUclips! The bulbs he's replacing backlight the function rings around the knobs and the pointer/indicator line on the knob. There are two of those bulbs, they cross iluminate for each knob's function ring (bezel). They are a 74 bulb, available for $2+ in a blisterpack of two at any REAL automotive parts store, NOT over priced chain stores like O'Reilly, Advanced Auto or Autozone. Just remove the old bulb from it's plastic base and insert the new bulb in.
His pushing in each knob and illuminating the Recirculation, A/C and Rear Defrost indicator lights has NOTHING to do with the bulbs he replaced - they are integral to each push switch!
Was your AC still working even if the light wasn't turned on? Trying to figure out if I have an issue the AC or the light in the climate control part.. Might be a bit of a dumb question but not tryna spend $200 if I can fix it with this
Did you check the fuse first
Hello I'm sorry but the Bub you said you changed are not for the AC button or the vent or the defrost the light bubs you changed our only for the lightning on the outside of the trimming
Never take advice from a guy with a thumb ring
Never listen to a comment from someone called "medicated...."
Kind light bulb 💡?
They are an automotive 74 (American bulb size) or a T-4 (metric) which pretty much interchange for size, contacts and wattage. That is if you are reusing the plastic base and are removing the old bulb and inserting a new bulb into the plastic twist base.
I have a Toyota Camry 2006 and it does not look like that! It’s different that method does not work
Pls were can I have the bulbs?
