Accent's Way English with Hadar Hi dear! Great video! Just a little reminder, a small mistake has been made at 8'08", the first word ends with a constant and the next starts* with s a vowel. And what a great example you have given, finish it=fini " shit"😂, you are hilarious! Love you.

To practice the connected speech, I'm using song lyrics as they are already divided into those 'units' you're talking about (thought groups), and they don't contain any science-related vocabulary.

    - think in sentences like a comprised of small chunks rather than words.
    - connected speech have 4 aspects
    1. V + C » get it smoothly. 2. C + C » treat it like one word. 3. C + V » the C becomes with V word. 4. V + V » add y sound or get it smoothly if the two letters are proximity . Notes - t + y » Ch - d + y » dj " after all of that practice it with your vocabulary "

Your energetic lesson always encourages me to survive in English. Even though I'm trying to sing Lionel Richie's "Say you, say me", it feels hard to pronounce the fast part of "So you think you know the answers, Oh no", and the following parts. I can't even hear the parts as the lyrics are and imagine why the part of the lyrics sounds like that. I hope you instruct me on the structure of the pronunciation of the part. Excuse me for a personal request.

Brilliant, absolutely the perfect version I've ever seen about how to connect words well, no doubts linking is one of the toughest parts for non-native to master, especially those from a country like China where we're taught to sound every single word clearly and completely rather than trying to connect or drop sounds as you like.

Here are my examples (from today's text for the challenge):
    C+C = served them
    V+V = family enjoyed
V+C = were very (or 'were' doesn't counts like a vowel at the end?)
    C+V = each year
