The monitors, that we see in Secret Base Act 1, show the shots of the both of them of where they died. Robotnik, from seeing these deaths, he knows he doesn't have much time left and he walks lumps over. He knows Sonic is coming and is near him, there's no hiding.
This also means that *every single death* is possibly cannon, because you can see the locations and the injuries of Tails’ and Knuckles’ sections. (Except the reference ones, like fatal error sonic guy.)
X’s segment is what gets me. The fact that these demons are aware of each other and worse they WORK TOGETHER! SOME OF THESE ENTITIES ARE FRIENDS! So even if you’re suffering the worse hell imaginable and run into one of these monsters they won’t even touch you. The possibility of getting a slightly lesser torture is nothing more than a punch line as they just stand there and watch you die with a damn smile on their face. That is a true nightmare.

Yeah, everyone got it worse 1: In a questions and answers to OMT and Mr. L, OMT answered that his favorite victim is Tails and he even eats his tails for chili dogs, so yeah, the guy that has been killed more times it's Tails and OMT knows that because he tortures him in the Labyrinth Zone with his corpses 2. Knuckles didn't get it better, OMT mocks him and makes him lose all hope, it even makes Knuckles see Tails while fighting with OMT, just to be killed next. But hold on, it can be worse. If you manage to escape the second Devil/Satan OMT form (the snake) you will end in Hidden Palace were OMT laughs at Knuckles in the worst form... He brokes the master emerald and makes him lose all hope 3. For what i can see, Eggman is the only one of the three to be aware of his eternal fate, plus the fact he's tortured with a lot of Knuckles and Tails yelling for help Yep, they all got it worse

In a world where all/most Exes exist this is probably hell for the characters for you to even play the game. Both Tails and Knuckles already gave up on the title screen leaving only eggman.
