- Опубликовано: 13 сен 2021
- Mastersmith Kyle Royer is making a karambit with three of his friends, Ryan, Vince with Brodbeck, and his dad. The rules are simple, whatever your dart lands nearest to, you are going to be in charge of making that part of this Karambit. Making a karambit is not easy, so you better hope you're good with throwing darts!

Thanks for sharing my friend
Dad
This was a lot of fun to watch! Really cool looking knife, I could see me hurting myself a lot playing with one of those lol!
then i have a idea to you, do it like me and put a ring on a manchete, fun for days
That last clip of you cracked me up..."But its still a lot of fun" haha
I've seen & done collabs before, but this is a whole new ball "game" hahaha. Pretty awesome idea, luckily there aren't too many "horrible" jobs in knifemaking... Hope all is well, take it easy.
that intermission is lit hahaha glue to get dry! haha
ruclips.net/user/shortsnLbqcrGES7E?feature=share
Beautiful! I love the wood that was used for the handle.
I wish more makers would collab on sprint run customs. I think the finished product is extremely cool and fresh.
This is an awesome idea! Very fun video. Great job guys!
That glue song is gunna be stuck in my head now 😂
This seems like a lot of fun, and I'm just getting into blacksmithing too!
God bless!

Loved the way you all divided up the work with the dart board game. A great collaboration all around. The knife looks great. Go Team Royer!
Thanks BeeZo

@@KyleRoyerKnives I hate to ask but do you have other videos of you specifically making a karambit personally fixed blade but double edged because I absolutely love your builds and the attention to detail can't be understated. Also I've always liked the idea of a karambit that the last finger hole has somewhat of an edge built into it but if not no issue I just seen one and thought that be neat if you essentially make a triple edged karambit almost like from the movie chronicles of Riddick but with the pretty designs and shorter pinky blade
Super cool idea! Nice to see a good and beautiful design brought to life in a funny manner !
Now that's a team work right there, to make a nice karambit. In the end of the result, it came out pretty well made karambit!
Sitting around waiting for my glue to dry 😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣
Oh that was so good!

Really liked the editing, props to your brother! The process was fun, and we hope y'all made a bunch!
Love the aesthetics of this lil knife. reminds me of a Raptor Talon.
You earn that Karambit newbie badge, and you'll learn real fast to turn your wrist outwards when spinning it. Only takes the one mistake, lol. Been there, done that!
Kyle, what a great presentation, and way to introduce more makers. I'll watch you over network programming every day! Also, I'd own *ANYTHING* you made. Even your less serious pieces get meticulous attention to detail!
I'm just getting into leatherworking, and I know you know Liz, so, anything I do would pale in comparison, but if you ever want a sheath, I'd be happy to make one!
Now I got that dang song stuck in my head, I've got so many chores done while waiting for the epoxy to set

The Brodbeck stickers are all over!
This is an awesome collab and really cool way to do an integrated ad.
Very cool!
Perfect Timing, have to make my second ever Karambit and this video will definetly help me out! Would love to see you forge one though!
This workshop looks fun.

Bravo! I love your channel. Very informative and always having a good time. Beautiful knife btw, and be careful takes a lot of skill to "Play" with a Karambit, lol more often to bite yourself in the process.
Anyone sponsored by brodbeck should do this format if on RUclips
This video was awesome and hilarious!
Hey thanks 7
Wow 👌 nice!!!!!
Hi new to your channel to be educated on the finer point of knife craftmanship!!!
Hey glad you’re here hanging out with us all Finom. Be safe and be careful my friend. Chao
Dad
Sheathing that looks like a challenge. Came out lovely evil!
I sure am glad I didn't get the grinding job. I would've botched that. Beautiful knife, and what a fun video! I love this channel!
Copy that finish grinding 👍🏻☕️🔥⚔️

Nice
Doug marcida has videos about how to handle a karambit safely. I trust that mans knowledge with my life.
Looked like such a fun way to bring this project to life. 🎯 The music in the episode was great, too. 😏

Hey thanks Charles
Kyle
Karambit is never an EDC as some may think, its a schedule weapon in my country. Its a part of our traditional weapon. There are many names to it such as Lengkung Sabit (Curved Sickle),Lawi Ayam (Rooster's spike),Kuku Macam (Tiger's claw) or Kerambit as it is pronounced.
I liked Vince on Forged in Fire.
i was watching that guy singing waiting for him to hit the corner like the dvd logo
this dude maxed crafting stat in every single mmorpg game, surprising.
That legendary coffee break spread by the Royar fam!
👍🏻☕️🔥⚔️
Send this Song to Laura Kampf. She has a thing or two to say about letting glue dry... 😂
Nice Video as ever!!

I'm not too proud to say that I have shop envy. 🤣
How did you all keep a straight face while you pretended to watch the glue dry... hysterical
Watch it again. Dad was about to loose it

You got a cool Dad. Very nice knife.
In a quiet room somewhere, Doug Marcaida is getting super excited and doesn't know why.

I bought an extremely sharp karambit once and I was in the garage spinning it on my finger like u was and I stuck that thing deep in my arm about 3 inches above my wrist and when I pulled it out blood was absolutely pouring out of my arm and about that time my 4 year old son walked out and seen his dad with blood covering his hand and steady stream on to the floor. I will never forget the "what in the holy hell" look on his face! I busted out laughing! Good times! 😂🤣👍🤙
Copy that good times
Yeah i still have scars from my Karambit its not the best knife to play around with but sometimes you just cant help yourself, nice work by the way.
Copy that my friend
Merry Christmas
Dad
Lots of laughter is how knife making jobs should be divided up :) Still trying to figure out how grinding that inside curve on a flat platen works :O
Living on the edge. The edge of the belt
Chao
Dad
Great video and work! What songs are used in this vid?😊
ruclips.net/user/shortsnLbqcrGES7E?feature=share
Fun video, and a good collaboration. I'm having a hard time understanding why you'd torch temper the blade though...
It’s quick. We didn’t have time for regular 4 hour cycle. Cheers
Dad
@@KyleRoyerKnives ah, hadn't considered the time aspect :)
Is that black palm? Nice build. A lot of fun to watch.
Not sure Robert
Dad
Beautiful work gentleman! What type of wood is the handle?
Hey thanks
Not sure
A stabilized burl
Dad
@@KyleRoyerKnives thank you sir. I’ll do some research
Knife making , playing darts and a sing along, you’ll have to get Mum on for a cooking segment !!🤪 (only kidding, LoL) Good video, really enjoyed it. Regards from Down Under.

Belongs on the “Top 10 Countdown “, great song, a tribute to all lonely knife makers !!!
Hey thanks mate
Chao
Dad
I think better game will be marking up the materials that should be used in 1 knife. type of damascuss, type of wood, bevel and so on
Have you got any advice for grinding this shape blade on a 2x72 please? Due to the inward curve I’m slightly terrified about it, but love the shape and really want to make one! Awesome work as always, your videos never disappoint! Thanks!!
Work the very edge of the blade
Cut down a belt when needed.
How do you sharpen these? I have one, but don’t know how to sharpen it!
I think we have a vid on that my friend. Chao
Dad
"Thanks for watching." no, thank you for the videos you guys!
Wow, I normally give a thumbs up.10:01 deserve the comment. Thanks for all the great content.

Dad
Karambit nowaday bigger than before..
Hey Kyle, I'll play you a game of darts against your next sword? LOL
I couldn't do that to you, I like you.
i have made i dont know how many karimbets i have hand forged every one of them the only power tool that was use was the belt grinder
Change your merchandise like have your sword you created. Or different ones you made . I think people would be more into that with the gold logo ROYER on it.
Im interested in commissioning a sword are you available if so please respond and let me know how to reach you ?
Hey Dave you can contact us at royerknifeworks@live.com for availability and pricing
I'd give my right arm to be ambidextrous.
You can. Start practicing. I didn’t like spinning the rotary vice around a bunch and trying to get my work piece in position over and over when I’m using the graver so I started using my other hand for regular out of position cuts. It’s not easy but it’s going very well.
Dad
