I heard it was because they were supposed to be fasting so not eating anything so he wanted to be full before the time theyre not eating and fat Tuesday is something in New Orleans

For those that don’t know “fat Tuesday” in past days of France is also known as Mardi Gras that is celebrated in New Orleans in America.
