I never buy real tools from either amazon or ebay.I prefer from box stores on major sale days like black Friday which is already going. When you buy from box stores warrante is valid and you can also return. Not worth for me trying to save few bucks on ebay then get a wrong tool or a lemon
You're absolutely right about the warranty for de-bundled tools, there is none, but there is a return policy of 30 days in ebay and for the Amazon 566 I have until Feb 1st to return it. I've never had a problem before this but I've only bought 3 kit tools. Paid $60 for an angle grinder, $80 for Sawzall, and $80 for oscillating tool. I can never seem to hit the sales when I need the tool 😂
Dewalt has been doing this for years if not decades. They replace a slighty different model (less expensive) into a bundle and rename the model number. The images look identical to the full-featured tool and most consumers during the holiday think the bundle is composed of separate stand-alone tools. They hope consumers assume the different model number is just to indicate that its part of a bundle when in reality is just cost-cutting for the manufacturer. You basically get a slightly less tool for less money. Dewalt is being deceptive intentionally. Resellers buy the bundle and part it out. Now that black fridays sales are earlier and earlier we see more parted-out bundles at a decent price relative to its retail price. In your case, if you pay for a DCS565, you should get a DCS565. Whether the reseller knows the differences is a different matter. I avoid Dewalt partially for this reason. They just have way too many models for basically the same tool. Those are the obvious differences on the outside, what about the insides? Milwaukee does a more honest job IMO.
I got the 565 at home depo recently as their bogo deals for Black Friday, really good tool!
Great video. Thanks so much !

This is what happens when the marketing department over rides the engineering and all other departments.
