Oh Amy the age old question to splatter or not. Your splatter always looks way better than mine,so I am not of fan of adding it to my cards. However, I enjoy watching your work immensely even if it is not my style or personal preference. I still enjoy watching your style and appreciate the time and effort you put into your videos. I always learn tips and techniques from you to improve my skills. Thanks so much for sharing.

I used to be one of those people that didn't like the splatter (i hope i was never so crass as to tell you that though) but the more i watch you do it, the more i like it. As you said, if we don't like a technique we don't have to use it. It's not like you're forcing us to do these things. You're giving us ideas, FOR FREE!! So thankyou, and I hope people remember their manners. Just because they have an opinion doesn't mean they need to share it.

haha I think there's a LOT of people who either didn't like splatter and I convinced them to join the dark side (it's more fun here - we have splatter lol) or they just don't like it and that's OK. But yeah - telling me how much they hate it or "I liked it till you added splatter" is just unnecessary and I'm going to start calling it out ;) ;)
Exactly. People with such loud, obnoxious opinions should use their time, energy, and money to go ahead and start their own RUclips channel. You don't like what you see? Shut your mouth, find a channel you approve of, or make your own. I love splatter and always have, but I don't get my panties in a twist if a content creator DOESN'T use it. Keyboard warriorism is, unfortunately, a very real problem created by people with too much time, attitude, and ignorance on their hands. I have a shirt that says, "Mean People Suck", and it's so, so true.

What a wonderful idea to use this intricate die and piercing plate to make a shaped card. So beautiful. Love how you met the color throw down challenge. I find in my life that the negative and mouthy people are jealous so just think of that when they say "nasties". You're the best.

Nice cards again Amy! I tried the ink blending on colored card stock yesterday (Distress Ink) and it does dry a lot lighter, just like you said! I wasn't sure I liked what I did yesterday, but this morning it looked fine and I made six cards that way! Thanks for all the great ideas you give us!

I am not a red girl, but I fell for this card real hard. The gold (just a little pop) looks pretty, but those navy berries were dreamy.
Look at what you do when you are pulled out of your color comfort zone! Bravo!

doubt it - red isn't something I reach for often but I use it when it calls for it ;)
red and blue can be used for veteran day cards; do the white as cardbase add the gold as accent; if you're hesitant bc blue is not in canadian flag use it as representative for Marine veterans :) here our national flag colors are red white and blue so this card gives me plenty of ideas. As sentiment you can combine text with gold foil; your service is worth gold etc.
Im dutch so no stars in the flag here; but for us cardmakers; use stars as your accent, no shortage in die stamp or stencil options:)
Im a sucker for any army day memorial or tribute in general; my two cents on that is simple; army service is what keeps us free; if not treated with dignity and respect that deserves, than how can you expect they will do so in return; we had some occasions in the netherlands where that happend and it gave me a change of heart mind and soul.
