- King Charles's former communications secretary says that the monarch made his cancer diagnosis public last night to show that anybody can be affected by the condition. Kristina Kyriacou worked for the King between 2009 and 2016 and during this time had her own experience with cancer and says the King was incredibly supportive.
She says she would have advised against the King revealing the type of cancer he has been diagnosed with and discusses Prince Harry's arrival to the UK after learning about his father's diagnosis.

This segment should be shared throughout the world for the balance, insight and genuine warmth it contained. Ms. Kyriacou's working knowledge of the Palace, the now King's attitude and personal beliefs and strengths was refreshing. It added hope for the King's swift recovery while remarking on the moves and placement of the backup members of the Royal Family. Well done - essential, timely and transparent.

Just leave the man alone...he is a very kind man who bravely came out to help others by revealing his prostrate probs. He has private insurance for obvious reasons so this is why he has started cancer treatment as soon as he has. I don't think they know exactly where the cancer is so until then no speculation please.

It is sufficient to know only what a person wishes to share. There are a group of people who want to observe road accidents, rubber necking. There are a group of people who NEED to know which cancer if you sat the C word. We are all so scared of death, road accidents and cancer are killers but people survive both. Please stop the pursuit of details about that which the king has chosen not to share, give thanks for your own health and pray for the king to recover.

It's sad that normal people have to wait and wait for treatment, sometimes the wait is too long and people die. As much as I hope Charles will be ok, It is very sad that he within a week he gets diagnosed and starts treatment.
Hopefully the King and the Buckingham Palace aids sees the open goal here and campaigns for his subjects to also get speedy diagnosis and treatment for cancer too

cancer is cancer...there is no such thing as a "lowly" type of cancer...i didnt tell people what type of cancer i had either and it was one of the most agressive cancers you can get.

I think it’s more about establishing healthy boundaries not so much about forgiveness or not. Harry has betrayed trust. That’s hard to get past.

So what’s the problem with King having prostrate cancer if that happens to be the case? Is Kings prostrate so royal that it cannot have a cancer? People should not speculate that it can be anywhere including in the prostrate. There is no cancer exemption for a royal prostrate just like a royal bladder or a royal colon! The point is even the Kings gave cancer! Don’t feel bad if u have cancer as it can happen even to Kings and just like King Charles taking care of himself they too should take care!

It is. Hawwy dropped his case with the Mail because he had nothing to offer. What the judge said when the strikeout was refused indicated that he had little or no chance of winning. Sherborne talked sense into him for once.
