Great idea - this is such a simple solution for sleep out/cabins and tiny houses. Worth the investment
I got this system in Ireland and works really well. Well worth the money.
Hi Micheal, I am also Irish and I am currently looking into this eco system. Glad to hear that it is working out for you. Hope that is still the case? Was this a retro fit job or a new build?
@@derek8272 Derek, I initially fitted 2 units in two bedroom as a retrofit. Very pleased indeed. They great in winter, the room doesn't get cold and you do get fresh air! If noise is an issue you can hear the outside more ie. traffic and wind. Close them during a storm. I just built an extension and am fitting more, because the control system is already fitted. I would recommend them as one of the best investments in any home.
@@user-op8fg3ny3j howdy, Not just yet, have the units installed, just waiting for a spark to wire the transformer in the fuse board! 😁
@@michealofloinn2539 Micheal, have had these up and running about 8 weeks now. I really like them. especially on the hot days. i kind of forgot that they were there and had to do some work in the house and kill the power going to the fans and I was really surprised at how good they are. the house became very stuffy and hot very quick. even on the lowest setting they do a great job turning over the air.
On the lowest setting, i cant hear them at all. they are a bit noisy on the highest setting, house sounds like the inside of a air plane 😅. I did notice the traffic noise a bit more but there are some noise filters you can get for them as well.
I 100% agree with you "I would recommend them as one of the best investments in any home" - might be a bit of a pain to install, they were in my case and how I had to run the cables, but definitely worth the effort.
@@derek8272 hi, did you guys just install it yourselves? or you pay an installer? (Wicklow)
Cool mate, cheers 👍
Is this effective in my new diy tiny house? When afternoon it's bloody hot inside so instead staying afternoon to sleep i go downstair and go upstairs at night
II have 28ft is one enough or should be installing two?
Hey, another question. If I install this do I still need a separate bathroom extractor fan?
Hey you will need a extractor fan in the bathroom but does not have to be lunos, but sure they make a great unit.
Hi! Im wondering how wide your walls are? Cause what I can read the lunos is made for 300mm? But In tiny houses the walls are often thinner? Best regards Emma
Hey our walls are 150mm with lining and cladding. From memory can make it work at 200mm, that is why we stood it out 50mm or so on the inside. Cheers
Hi what about dry air and lack of air??
I always wake up dry and lips stook together would this help??
System provides new clean constant air so should help.
@@WeemakechangeCoNz Thankyou so much
Does this system run off solar power?
sure can thanks
Would you say the hrv increases humidity inside your tiny house?
Hi, decreases humidity
I do not recommend 1-canal heat recovery wall ventilators with ceramic unit and 1 engine, that it works alternately in both directions. There are much more better construction for these price, for example Mitsubishi VL-100, Prana 200G, CLIMTEC 250RD etc. Do your own research and compare all these units together.
